First of all breakfast starts at 7am which is to late. There were no pancakes or waffles that you could make. One type of begels which was rasin. Had to ask for cream cheese and they were clueless where it was. First we were told they were out of cream cheese. Breads were white or wheat. Asked help to clean the microwave. Told to clean plate and door. Three days later inside door still not cleaned. Inside plate was dirty again and seems not checked daily. The wall next to microwave had food splattered. Was still on when we left. There was a Asian lady who was busy cleaning and clearing tables and we only saw a few days. She was busy checking everything. They should have her train employees. I never saw covers for coffee cups while she was not there. They do not clean rooms everyday. We had to ask for toilet paper and clean towels. Since we didn't need the room cleaned every day it wasn't a big deal. When we saw the cart, we asked for towels and toilet paper. The front desk staff was friendly. The housekeeping staff was also friendly. The pool could get noisy on the weekends with kids screaming and running around. No toys or items allowed in the pool even though I saw some ball throwing and floating devices. It would be nice if floatation device's were allowed. There was a kids party while we were there. The kids were running and screaming. The weekends seemed to have the most kids. The hot tub was nice since the pool was cold.

Breakfast was awesome. My kids really appreciated how deep the pool was. Hot tub was good too. Beds were comfortable. Only fault was how thin the walls were. We were next to the outside door and the elevator and it was so loud all day and night. So many barking dogs, screaming kids and drunks bellowing.

Really enjoyed our stay. The front desk staff was amazing. Maintenance was fast and efficient. The pool area is exactly what I hoped for. Great area to meet with family and let kids play. Old Chicago was great and convenient. The weekend breakfast wasn't restocked the best but the lady working Monday morning was fantastic. For an older hotel, it is kept up fairly well. Although, the windows were old and had no screens.
