First time to be let down.

Check in was 3pm we got there a little after 4 our rooms were not ready. It would be another 45 minutes or so. Hour later we were able to check in. The staff that checked us in was not friendly it's like we were a bother to her. The other staff were a lot friendly after she left. They only had a light colored blind so the rooms were lit up with the outside light. No way of darkening the room. Other than that it was a quiet place.

Hotel staff was nice, bed was comfortable, but that’s about it. I would’ve thought for a hotel that is somewhat newer in a resort town the accommodations would have been better. I could hear all of the noise from the guest stain above me. Extremely loud, if you stay at this hotel, I recommend staying on the fourth floor, which is the very top. The hotel is not well insulated so you can hear other rooms. My TV was very old and antiquated and I could not get it to work. also went to take a shower the next morning and the shower was lukewarm. I let the water run for a long time and it did not get hot at all. The only perk to the stay was the room was very clean and the hotel staff was nice but other than that I would not recommend staying here. Food at hotel was not very good either. There are other hotels in Durango that are far nicer.

Great place to stay

The hotel itself wonderful in every capacity. The only thing not so good is the restaurant on site. breakfast is terrible and wanted to get food to go at 8:45 pm but they had already closed.

Convenient but charged for parking.

Convenient location. Half a mile to main street. I haven't stayed at many Holiday Inn locations but they did charge $10 to park in their lot and $10 for breakfast. I did not know that before hand. Room was good.

The young lady who worked at the desk in the evenings was gem. So friendly and helpful. The tavern on site was wonderful. Room service and cleaning was top notch. The kids loved playing in the pool. I thought the paying for parking was a little off putting, but no big deal in comparison to our great stay :)

Property was great as was the pool and bar. Room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant is another story. Out of food items. The cook waited until everyone’s food came out to tell us he was out of one of the meals we ordered. Then when ordering a replacement order of chicken…all 4 strips came out raw in the middle. The Bartender DID do his best to make it right and he is appreciated! Definitely need a little adjustments here and there.

Hotel bar is the best.

This hotel has a great pub in it with some really good food selections. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. I loved the the bed. The king mattress was firm but still has pillow top for that good sleep we were wanting. Our small dog came along and loved the space for romping and play.
