And with 8,300,000 locals living in the capital of Japan, there's plenty of opportunities to meet a few new BFFs. Ebisu is 5 kilometres southwest of central Tokyo. If you're coming in from Haneda Airport, toss your luggage in the boot of a taxi and make your way 12 kilometres northwest.

This city is filled with awesome things to do, and many of them are found near Ebisu. It's no simple task to pick the best attractions, but Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Imperial Palace are a couple you can't miss. The have-to-see sights of Meiji Jingu Shrine and Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building are also easily accessible.
