The property was OK, gaining access to it was NOT. We were informed we should have received a communication detailing how to access the property three days prior to arrival - this did not happen. As a result, we were standing on a very busy street corner with a lot of background noise, trying to call the property (at international call rates) in order to gain entry. A most unpleasant experience after an overnight flight. We got in after about 15 minutes of phone calls and received the instruction email a few minutes AFTER we took occupancy vs the 3 day advance notice we were led to believe we should have had. NOT a good experience and a terrible way to start a vacation! The property itself/location etc was fine, parking was not required so no issues there, no issues re: safety that you wouldn't expect in another other major city.

The room was beautiful and modern. We had no problems walking to plenty of shops and restaurants from there.

This was a modern hidden studio apartment upstairs of a mobile phone store accessed through an unassuming door in the corner. The original façade of the old building was untouched, but the insides were renovated. Plus: location was as central as you can get (maybe a little "too central"?) Window facing the castle. Studio felt very modern and probably remodeled not very long ago. Even though address was given in the email, some basic descriptions of the place in the email would've helped because Google maps sent me to the OTHER nearby (wrong) location when I just searched the name (there were multiple locations in the same areas). There were some homeless people loitering near the entrance and smelled of urine at the entrance. Walking in the studio. almost every other step generated loud creaking noise. They did not reinforce the old floor before covering up with new flooring. Thankfully it was a mobile phone shop that wasn't opened in the evening. But because of that, it affected the stay experience. Second complaint was the stairs. Not easy carrying my big luggage up since there were no lifts/elevators. Maintenance was feeling a little off, one of my bedside lamps did not work. Due to the apartment being a little warm, I had to open the window to get some fresh air (no air conditioning, but ok). However, being so central, and only on the 2nd floor, I can hear people talking loudly and traffic noises all the way until it died down in the later hours.

Great location

The property is fantastic. located extremely well for Princess and George Street with the apartment being well presented, clean and all the facilities needed and as described. The only area to improve on is that the property does not have air conditioning and if the weather is good the sun shines directly in and you cannot really leave the windows open due to noise emanating from Princess St

This was a great place to stay in Edinburgh. It was nice, had all updated modern amenities and centrally located to tasty restaurants and tourist locations - we walked almost everywhere. I would definitely stay there again - It was nice having a spacious studio. A few items I read in other reviews that were helpful: 1. The office, several blocks away, will let you store your luggage until you can check in. We arrived early, so this was nice. 2. There are no elevators - This was good to know in advance. I highly recommend these apartments.

The apartment is marvelous. Everything is in good condition and it is pretty. Really comfortable and it has everything you could need when traveling. Pretty good size and location. We would prefer that the apartment had a lift and AC. I definitely can recommend this place.

it is in walking distance to Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle. The apartment itself is clean and well maintained. There are dining options nearby too. We enjoyed the stay.

Central location

Beautiful apartment overlooking Princess Street, couldn’t get a more central spot. Apartment was spotless, cosy and comfortable with secondary glazing which kept the noise down and underfloor heating in the bathroom. Had everything you would need for your stay with good quality bed linen and towels. Would definitely stay there again.
