Wonderful theatre break

Fantastic 2night stay. Couldn’t have asked for a better hotel for closeness to bus station and theatre. The staff could not have been friendlier and helpful. The beds were amazingly comfy with the best pillows I’ve ever had in a hotel. The outside terrace was a complete surprise and my friend and I made good use of it. This is a hotel I am definitely going to book again.

We stayed at the Place for one night. We were lucky enough to be upgraded and had a lovely large room on the first floor. The hotel does not have a lift so stairs to the third floor may have been a little taxing for mid 70s. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. A bit of a disturbed night due to traffic noise but all in all a good experience

Short stay Edinburgh

About a 15 min walk from Waverley, just behind shopping Mall. A lift would make it perfect but the staff cannot help enough, I dropped by case off mid morning and when i came back later to check in it was already up in my room. The decor was lovely - comfortable. Everything was really clean and well maintained. Room was a little warm so i kept my window open all the time, it did mean you could hear the trams passing by but that did not bother me. Breakfast was lovely. I would definitely stay there again.

Felt like i was in a basement , and staff TWO times at 8am to wake me up and hotel did nothing to remediate this at all. Doesn't make a single person feel safe especially with do not disturb on door. Couple weekend break.

Staff were friendly on check in. Offered to help carry our bags upstairs as no lift. Room was clean and tidy. We had a top floor room. Kinda inside the roof. View was lively but room was very warm at night and bed was smaller than we expected and shower was small too and weak pressure. Felt like pics on Hotels didn’t match the actual bathroom images. Location great for trams and city centre. Didn’t have breakfast here ate out at near by cafe. Was quiet and no real noise from street. We were at back of hotel. Probably wouldn’t stay again as felt like we have had better rooms in other hotels for same price.

It is a great location for exploring Edinburgh. Within walking distance of shops pubs and restaurants. Staff are friendly and helpful. Beautiful rooms, comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would return.
