Not a complaint, just a comment...
This place is nowhere near "wilderness", so don't think you'll be staying out in the middle of nowhere. It's in the middle of town, a few hundred yards from the traffic circle.
That said, It's quiet and we very much enjoyed our stay there. If we find ourselves in the area again, we'll stay here.
A lovely, quiet, peacefully uncrowded town.
The other occupants were quiet and respectful. The staff is wonderful !
The villa was very accommodating with everything we needed (except a measuring cup) 🙃. We enjoyed our stay SO much and wished we could have stayed longer.

Nothing special
We've stayed for one night before taking an boat ride excursion at Everglades park, the lodge is a bit tired and old. There was also no hot water in the shower. I'd stay elsewhere if you are there for 1-2 nights. And if you are there is the summer, aircon is very loud, we turned it off because it wasn't hot otherwise we won't be able to sleep.

Relaxing stay on the river
Comfortable one-night stay while visiting the Everglades. Really loved the screened-in porch overlooking the river, particularly in the evening and when having my morning coffee. Free use of canoes was a plus. The location is convenient for boat tours of the Everglades or for those who enjoy fishing (private dock with fish-cleaning area). Cooking facilities are included and there are several restaurant options are nearby.
Beautiful clean comfortable room with a beautiful view. I was not able to make phone contact close to closing time to let them know I would be late. I got email instructions about their after hours system after I already arrived. None of this is a big deal, but a text message near closing time would have been good.
We are delighted every time to return to this wonderful property.

Spacious cabins with easy check in and check out. Came for a night to do an airboat tour. Not many food choices in the off season and store across street does not have ice cream or a gift shop as large sign states. Bring bug spray in summer months. Cool to see alligators out back door.

Nice but costly
Thenplace is nice and clean but way too expensive considering you have to leave mo dishes or there is a fee, leave no garbage or there is a fee, and no room service for fresh towels or linens. And poor communication costed us extra money not knowing we couldnt dock our boat at the marina next door overnight. Again nice place and was first time staying there and have been going all my life but way over priced. Beds are uncomfortable, master bath too small with small toilet, not handicap friendly at all.
Such a deceiving description. Filthy floors, rusted appliances in the kitchen, rusted shower, and a pullout couch that is so worn and uncomfortable that there was no support to block the bars coming through making it an impossibility to sleep, and my daughter ended up sleeping in the chair for two nights. Did attempt to contact management but as usual, no one there. Sent three emails to manager and to date have received no response. All we wanted was to have discussed the problems with them before making a negative comment on this Hotels.com. Pool is not on the property as described, but is down the street. I am noticing a wide amount of positive comments and don't believe their validity one bit. Have seen manager respond to negative comments with a spiteful and condescending answer so I am anticipating she will do the same with me. Book elsewhere do not book here. You will be very disappointed. The only reason I gave a one is because the pelicans are nice to watch on the water. Never had I stayed in a place so gross yet so expensive.
Great view on the water - watched dophins swimming by and many birds. Very nice cabin. Had all we needed for our first visit to the area. comfortable beds. Kitchen well stocked. Convenient to all local attractions. Great staff - very friendly and helpful.

Overpriced, sticky and outdated
The cabin was spacious with a nice riverfront view& porch.
Cabin was nicely furnished. Bedding comfortable. All needed extra bedding& complimentary toiletry items were supplied.
Plumbing worked but looked ancient as well as the overall cabin. Our main concern was in reference to the table, doorframes& refrigerator door all very sticky. A good scrub- down seemed well past-due. Very over priced for what we received.
We had a great 3x nights stay here - initial feeling is that is it a bit old school, but this adds to the charm of the place. We made use of the fishing poles to fish off the communal dock (you can buy bait across the road / next door) - as novices we still caught lots of catfish, snapper and crabs. There a number of laid back restaurants in town, most close by 8pm. Porch was great for breakfast as the sun rises - also grabbed a hearty breakfast from Nely’s Corner at the EFC across the street.
