After staying here for 4 nights, I would definitely recommend Kandahar Lodge. All of the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable when asking questions about the ski resort. The rooms were nice and everything was well kept. Breakfasts were simple but offered something for everyone and did the job. The jacuzzi and steam room were a nice bonus!

This property is truly one-of-a-kind, and the staff members are exceptional. The convenience of having breakfast available each morning is a great start to the day, and the beautiful ski trails are just a few minutes away. The hot tub, open until late in the evening, is the perfect way to unwind after a day of skiing or snowboarding. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning next year! The location, perched at the top of the mountain, offers breathtaking views and an unforgettable experience. The staff treat guests like family, making you feel right at home. If you’re a fan of skiing or snowboarding, this is the ideal spot to stay.

The Lodge is cozy and comfortable. Wonderful fireplace in the main room. Really friendly and helpful staff. Good access to the ski lifts. It was advertised to have bar and restaurant but doesn't, both are currently closed. The bathtub shower needs a grab bar or 2. The continental breakfast had good options but the breakfast room is small and frequently all tables are occupied.

We love the continental breakfast and the large hot tub. If you are in a loft room, be aware there are a lot of stairs to get to your room.

Great breakfast

I stayed on the 3rd floor. The room had a loft with a bed. It was wonderful to be able to spread out. Most hotel rooms are tiny. The breakfast was incredible.

Horrible front desk staff!!! Our room was on the top floor (3rd) with no elevator, and 7 flights of stairs from the parking lot. We did not know this prior to making the reservation. We had lots of luggage and are in our 60s. No help was offered (even though we saw a note once we hiked up to our room that help was available with luggage). We told the front desk gal (Greta) that this would be very difficult for us. Still no help offered. She laughed at us saying she didn't design the lodge. Staff would not budge on relocating us, telling us that's the room we booked. Tough. They could not care less. Plus, no AC in the loft portion of the room where we were sleeping, in the summertime. Super hot in the loft!! All beddings are winter beddings, with a wool blanket. Evidently no change made for summertime accommodations. Never again. Don't go there. The staff don't care about us. This is a winter lodge at a ski resort that charges a fortune for a top floor room with no elevator, and provides little to no service in the summertime. Unfriendly. They need to be reminded they are in the "hospitality" business.
