I loved this property. It was just what I needed for a two nights day. Upon arrival, the front desk help was so polite and genuinely kind and interested in my business in Morgantown. They gave me a great room (320).
The lobby is open, airy and spacious. The pool and hot tub are in the lobby, but have privacy wall surrounding it. I would’ve loved to check it out, but I wasn’t at the room all day.
One of the elevators wasn’t working, but really not a big deal. The property is older, but I feel it’s charming and you can tell there were updates made to both increase the comfort of guests and keep the cost low enough to offer competitive rates.
I paid a little over $100 a night and I felt it was completely worth it depending on what you’re looking for in your stay. For example, two weeks ago I stayed in a higher end boutique hotel for 367 a night. It was beautiful, completely renovated and gorgeous. Had a river view, but it was so loud that I couldn’t get any sleep so I would sacrifice those amenities to have a quiet, peaceful sleep like I did at this Holiday Inn.
The room was spacious, the bed and pillows were comfortable. I actually did do a black light test on the sheets and they were pristine.
I didn’t hear a peep during my whole stay. The bathroom, although a tad older was sufficient the water pressure was good enough not the greatest. The hot water wasn’t as available at six or 7 o’clock in the morning so I just waited an hour and took a shower at eight and it was fine
