They can’t help the area, but the number of homeless & derelicts within 1 block of the place was unsettling. We were worried about our vehicle being stolen or vandalized & about leaving the room to walk the dog. The door & windows did nothing to keep out street noise. Sirens from the nearby hospital were non-stop & kept us up all night. We were on the 3rd floor. The door to the elevator hallway stuck & would make a loud slamming noise every time it was used, which was all night! People were coming & going & slamming doors all night. As for the room, there were cigarette ashes on top of our comforter upon entering the non-smoking room. There were long black hairs on the sheets and woven into one of the hand towels. The hand soap dispenser was empty. A bar of soap was provided, but with the basin sink there was no place to set it down & the floor obviously hadn’t been swept because my socks became covered in hair & dirt after just a few mins.of walking around shoeless. We reserved the room for 4 guests, but were only stocked with towels for 3. We did not have a blow dryer or coffee service. Upon calling the desk, we found out that those only come with the deluxe rooms. For $150, I don’t consider it a cheap room. We stay in a ton of hotels and have always had these amenities. Even in rooms we paid $60-70 for. We did receive a courtesy call shortly after entering the room, but before we had noticed most of these issues. They were nice. The lobby coffee sucked.

Not crazy about the neighborhood. We were a little uncomfortable. The Red Roof Inn lobby was clean and welcoming. I was a little taken a back when the gentleman at the front desk asked for a deposit of $100.00 for a room damage/security deposit. I found that a little distasteful. My wife and I are in our late 50's so our days of damaging hotel rooms are over with hahaha. I guess there's a first time for everything??? We have stayed at many different hotels over the years and have never been asked to give a security deposit. Oh well never again Red Roof. Our room was clean and comfortable. A block and a half away is a wonderful restaurant is the Brewery pub and restaurant. Definitely worth a visit.

I loved having the separate rooms and the little kitchen was nice to have. Beds were nice and very clean. We received a courtesy call about 30 min after we were in our room to check and make sure everything was well.

Fine place to stay overall. Service was very good. Room was a little loud as doors didnt keep the siren and train noises dampened. Also the heater unit would shut down and cold air would blow through the unit from outside and it would get cold in the room. Would take time before it would turn back on.
