Overall the hotel is nice. Rooms are renovated and reasonably decent. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Only issues we had were that one elevator was not working and ice machines were not working. Views are great and location is great with lots of stuff within the walking distance.

Location

The best thing about this place is the location. It has direct access to Folly Beach. The property itself could use some upgrades. The second elevator being broken makes for a long wait during busy times. Overall it's decent.

Pro’s first: Room was cute. Nicely decorated. Large enough for 3 of us. Shower large. Enough towels. 7th floor amazing view of the ocean. Reception desk people are amazing. Restaurant people were sweet. Restaurant food was just mid. Ok for dinner nothing fancy. Cons: Room was dirty when we checked in. Contact lens stuck on the bathroom counter. Coffee drips on both surfaces. It was clear the room wasn’t cleaned fully. Let front desk know. We went to Walmart and purchased cleaning materials. Front desk offered to move us, but we had already got our stuff set up and decided if that room wasn’t cleaned then wasn’t really confident there was anything to say next room was cleaned either. The bathroom door didn’t close. Reception sent someone but he couldn’t fix it. It got fixed while we were out the next day. Honestly had the room been clean, none of this other stuff would have been a problem. Also there is only one elevator working - we were on the 7th floor. Not super convenient. Just all little aggravating things but cleanliness is a biggie. Ironically we would stay again. Great location. Good rates. BUT Would bring cleaning supplies :)

The hotel is very clean and the staff is great. Perfect location for Folly Beach. Walking distance to everything and right on the beach. The hotel is older so the rooms are a little dated, but it was fine. We enjoyed our stay.

There were many things wrong with our room. None of the outlets held any chargers. they all kept falling out. Our toilet didn’t flush. Our tub didn’t drain. Our balcony door didn’t close properly. There was only one elevator working so it literally took you 20 minutes to where you needed to go.

Pros: great location, friendly staff, coffee shop downstairs. Cons: hotel is dated, toilet took 5 minutes to fill up. Lobby deodorizer was overwhelming. Didn’t appreciate the extra tax and daily resort fee specially in the winter when it’s too cold to be in the outdoor pool. Only one elevator was working. No outlet by bedside table. Had to go out and buy a 5 ft extension cord.
