My wife and I have been to the Plunge a few years ago and I must report that the service has gone down dramatically. The staff at the beach bar needs to be trained better in customer service skills, and their attitude towards the customer needs a drastic improvement. If you want to be waited on and receive food in a timely manner do not sit at any of the tables that surround the bar, because all of the servers avoid you as if you were a bother to them. They also have a happy hour daily from 4:00-6:00PM and never give you the happy hour menu unless you ask. There was a Luau advertised on flyer's that they had placed around the resort taking place on Saturday from 3:00-6:00PM with drink and food specials being offered. When my wife and I went and sat down at one of the tables it took more than 15 minutes before a server came over to us and handed us a menu, and when I questioned what the specials were for the Luau she rolled her eyes and went back and brought us the separate specials menu. After that she ignored us and kept making drinks for other customers, until another 15 minutes went by before another server came over and took our order. We also noticed other unhappy customers having to get up from their tables and walk to the bar for service. The saving grace of our vacation came from the phenomenal service that was given from the staff who set you up on the beach every morning with lounge chairs and an umbrella.
