We appreciated a spacious comfortable room ,in a quiet location and being able to park right outside. The room was immaculately clean and well equipped in the kitchenette. Comfortable bed and good shower. It was within easy walk - 5-10minutes - of Franz Josef cafes and shops and the cinema. Owner and staff were welcoming . Recommended.

Great place to stay in Franz Josef. Bus stops right outside. Only 5 min walk into town. Comfortable bed, great shower. Highly recommend. Parking js good also if you have a car which we did not.

The owners go above and beyond when you stay here. We had our heli-hike on Franz Josef glacier cancelled due to weather and in passing said to the husband plans had changed. Not long after the wife knocks on our door with a brochure from another company that does the heli-hike on Fox glacier and info advising that she had just rung them and they had vacancies for their hikes and they were flying as it is lower down so bad winds don't affect it as much. The property is close to all the food pubs, cafes with lots of choices to dine at. The accommodation we stayed in had 1 bedroom and another bed in the living area, It had a little kitchen area, dining table and lounge. It had enough space for 4 adults to use and very clean. We arrived just before 8pm and the owners were still in the office waiting for us and again when we left a few days later when we left earlier than the office opens. They are very knowledgeable and happy to offer suggestions and help.

A great stay at a place that is withina leisurely 5 mins to the town centre. Graham was friendly during check-in and provided us milk and a guide on the surrounding area including which treks we could do. The rooms were also clean and our only wish was for the shower not to be fixed which would have been helpful especially for the kids. Overall, highly recommended base if you're in Franz Josef.
