We have stayed at the Best Western Fredericksburg many times. This time we were located in a room behind the main building. When we started to unload our car there was a group of men sitting outside of our door, which was unsettling because we had kids with us. However, it turns out they were property maintenance workers (although with no uniform or name tags) and they resumed their work once they saw us.
The room itself was decently clean, although the floors were dirty and the bottoms of our feet ended up black without shoes on, but I think that's pretty standard in a budget hotel :) It was quiet, and we felt safe in the area.
The free breakfast was great - beyond expectations. There were 5-6 types of fresh fruit cut up and in separate huge containers. Cereal, quick toast/bagel options, coffee and juice. There was also a station where a staff member would scoop you hot foods including scrambled eggs, sausage, and a pancake. There was a tip jar on the table. This was the only odd part, as usually it's self-serve, and when the employee needed to step away for a break (which was well-deserved!) you could not get to the hot foods.
Overall, pleasant experience. We would definitely stay here again.
