Breakfast hours two short, Ran out of food for breakfast had to wait while the staff made more. We got to breakfast at 9:05, 25 minutes before the end. There were no clean butter knifes, no clean glasses, had to use a setiform cup for juice. Noticed a lot of chips in the molding, paint scratches, general maintenance not being taken care of. Being in the business I could tell the maintenance has gone down. Irish Cottage used to be the best hotel in Galena, I can not honestly say that anymore. Its nice, clean but when you pay over 200.00 a night I expect the room to be made up everyday without asking, more then 1 bar of soap for the sink and tub. I expect breakfast to have plenty of clean dishes and never have to wait on food to be made for a buffet.

Amazing place to stay. Rooms were comfortable and nice sized. Pool and hot tub were a great place to meet some fun travelers! Everything was very clean! Pool towels could be larger, they are more of a hand towel size. Restaurant has amazing food! Authentic Irish food! Brian was our shuttle driver and provided great tips on the area. Went above and beyond for customer service!! It was nice to go out and have a great time and not have to worry about driving! Breakfast was very tasty and set us up for a great day! Highly recommend this hotel!
