The removal was nice. Bathroom was awesome. The only negative was the sound between our room and the next - especially through the connecting doors. The neighbors came in around 1 and were talking in the living area - not even particularly loud - but enough to waken us in the bedroom.

The problem we had with Wyndham was that they charged our credit card for the stay when we had booked our stay through Expedia and we were already charged by Expedia. I talked to several managers there in Galena & it was not resolved. All they kept telling us was that their charge was pending and would come off which it did not. I have filed a dispute with our credit card company and this is just a huge hassle at this point. Do not preregister if you stay there so this does not happen to you. NOT HAPPY THAT NO ONE THERE WAS ABLE TO RESOLVE THIS & THEY CLAIMED TO BE "MANAGER'S"!

Although the property is outside of the town of Galena, it was very nice. The man at the desk was not as friendly as the woman. He seemed preoccupied and wasn't very service-oriented whereas the woman went out of her way to be helpful. The rooms were clean and the other staff members were friendly. Breakfast was okay.

Overall this was a decent hotel. I think the rating was a little misleading. Its definifely not a 4 star hotel. The lobby seems to have been slightlu upgraded but the rooms are surely not. The beds werent that comfortable and the tv was small for someone who has terrible eyesight. They also have direct tv which went out as soon as it started raining and the wifi signal qas weak so ws sat in the room with not much to do. The walls are thin so there was a LOT of noise going on throughout the night and early morning which made it hard to sleep. However the staff was really nice and accommodating. It wasnt a horrible stay but definitely not the 4 star accommodations we were led to believe.
