Very nice and pleasant place to stay while in the area. Second time staying in the hotel this year and both times had no issues. Loved the back deck. Real peaceful and beautiful scenery.

This place has been lovingly rehabbed. The beds were super comfortable, the shower great, and the staff helpful. The Birch bar was a trip. I had an interesting chat with the bartender and had an overall great experience here. It's just high on the hill above the town. Easy parking and check in. And, the breakfast was decent for an included breakfast.

Hotel is renovated, but old. Service is hard to get and unpredictable. Breakfast is basic instant eggs and sliced sausage or thin bacon monday - Friday. They add Premade omelets and hash to the menu on Saturday and Sunday. Instant oatmeal packets every day. I've stayed here for a week four times in the last 6 months and breakfast has degraded in that period. They removed the pancake machine and substituted packaged waffles that run out. Ran out of bananas on Monday and went without until Friday. Out of unflavored oatmeal packets and yogurt other days. Always out of something which is a bit of a letdown. Booked a multi room suite with kitchenette and was given a single room studio suite without notice and too late to book elsewhere. I found no need for an in room tub when you are sharing a room or fireplace in the summer and changed to a double queen room next to the icemaker that smelled musty every day. They have a bar, but they don't have a bartender every day and when they do, they are the acting manager for check in. Shower pressure is poor in every room I've had. It's usually a cheap option, but other places nearby have better breakfast and better rooms.
