Door doesn’t lock and flies in our room

We got there at 230 pm and tried to check in. The owner said that they were stil cleaning our room and had to wait another 15-20 minutes. This was an outright lie because we saw no one leave or enter our room while we waited in our car. When we got to our room, the door was ajar and there were 2 flies buzzing around. The beds were uncomfortable too and we had the motel owner had to use a crowbar to help close our door shut.
Our door didn’t lock without help of a crowbar and the paint was peeling.

This hotel offers no coffee, no breakfast, no extras. Asked for lower level as we had an infant and were staying a week with lots of luggage and they refused said hotel was too full. Not one day was the hotel full and seemed almost like we were only ones there. Asked for room to be swept and were told they only replace towels. Will not refer to friends or family.

As far as a place to stay for one night it’s fine but there are better places but they are much more expensive. I have stayed there for a fishing trip that I booked in Garibaldi.

The property in general seemed run down and our view was oof a storage area for outdoor machinery when we expected a view of the bay. The room was clean enough and somewhat updated, the bed was comfortable as well. The surround area just seemed somewhat run down with not many dining options or things to do. The staff was super nice.

Major construction in front of motel. Our view was of all the road construction supplies. Road construction noise started at 8am. NOT anything like what was advertised. Reserved two nights and left after one night.

If looking for a 1 night stay or 2 I say this is the place. Everything was pretty clean I didnt have a problem with the front desk receptionist when I told her about my room door wouldn't lock fully when I was there. She gave me another room without hesitation.
