I like the area and convenience of the hotel. The staff is very friendly and super nice. Not too much info about where the amenities are- gym, pool etc... I thought the rooms were a little dated and rough. They haven't been updated in a while and it shows they have aged badly and what was once modern and sleek now looks old and dingy.. The price for the quality is a little steep in my opinion. I expected more.

Our room was definitely NOT what you’d expect from a Marriott property! Room was stale, smelled of cigarette smoke, bedspread was stained as was a chair in the room. When we complained to the service team we were asked to “post the complaint on social media and perhaps they’d get the resources to fix it”. Not a good experience.

The Westin’s Shore Club restaurant provided exceptional food and service as well as an intimate romantic atmosphere. Our waiter, Connor was both professional and very personable. The Westin hotel in Ottawa was where we held our wonderful wedding reception forty years ago and I must say that the hotel and the restaurant are still great and in fact, better than ever. Well done!

We love the Westin. This is the hotel to stay at every time we go to Ottawa. The rooms are spacious and clean. The view was spectacular with comfy chairs to sit on and enjoy the view. The bed is great as well. We also enjoyed brunch on the 3rd floor. Parking was also convenient, as it was connected to the mall. I would highly recommend this hotel.
