This is a nice property to stay at if you’re on a budget and don’t mind an older place. This is not on the main strip that runs through Gatlinburg, so it is very peaceful. And I loved being able to see and hear the creek from my balcony.

Birthday stroll

This was a returning trip to the area and we chose to stay here again with the hopes of finding the place better than the last visit which was right before COVID, sadly it wasn’t. This hotel has potential, the staff was friendly, but our room is in need of a major renovation and I’m assuming the other ones too. The included breakfast sucked, biscuits and gravy and made your own waffles on the hot side and yogurt on the cold side wouldn’t cut it; at least for us! So needless to say we wouldn’t use it again when we return.

The hotel was really comfortable and welcoming! The grounds were beautiful with lots of ways to take in the nature.

Nice stay over night, no frill hotel with comforter bed, cozy and quaint rustic room. Perfect location just outside of Main Street area but walkable to restaurants & shops, also trolly transportation option. Will stay again next time in Gatlinburg…very close to Great Smoky Mountain.

Balconies overlook a small river with water rushing over boulders. Small rapids, whitewater action and beautiful soothing sounds. Location a bit removed from the crazy Gatlinburg tourist areas, which is good, but a very short drive up the hills to the arts and crafts district. Skip their breakfast.

The Property sat beside a beautiful rushing creek and while sitting on our balcony we saw lots of wildlife including a black bear.

This wasn’t the hotel that I wanted. However the hotel and staff were wonderful. We had a surprise when we were packing up the car with a bear at our car this am. I would stay here again.

Location great. I was there two nights so was able to leave my car parked there while I walked to Anakeesta and spent the day there. Breakfast was good. Thankful there was a safe in my room. Room was clean, large, and comfortable. I enjoyed hearing the creek while falling asleep. The only negative is that the room sorely needs to be refurbished.

I liked the location with a view of the stream and the mountains. The breakfast room was unusually large and pleasant. It is away from downtown Gatlinburg, which is too hectic. There were not enough good lights to be able to read.

I was pleasantly surprised by condition of Brookside Lodge, at such a competitive price. The staff was very welcoming, and shortly after I booked the room, I received a call letting me know that my room was ready at 9:30 am. Upon arrival, I was also given two bottles of water and two apples, which was a nice touch. The room is small but clean, with no chemical smell, and it includes a refrigerator. We also have a private balcony with a lovely view of the creek. Very happy with my choice!
