The Neighborhood:
This beautiful cabin is located in the Mountain Shadows Resort. There is an outdoor, seasonal pool and a playground for guests to enjoy. The cabin is very convenient to downtown Gatlinburg (10-minute drive) and several entrances to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, making it an excellent location for both fun and adventure.

Getting Around:
We recommend 4x4 wheel drive anywhere in the Great Smoky Mountains. This cabin features paved roads all the way up and is easy to reach, but 4x4 is always a good idea, especially during rainy or winter weather.

Other Things to Note:
• Must be 21 or older to book this cabin.
• This cabin sleeps 8 guests maximum.
• 4x4 drive is recommended for Smoky Mountain travel.
• Gas fireplace is seasonal and operates approximately October–March, weather permitting.
• Coffee maker is a regular and Keurig combo—please bring your preferred coffee or K-Cups.
• Guests agree to communicate through the website messenger, even if initial contact is made by another method.

A momma bear and cub came onto the deck

The stay was great. However the cabin could use a deep clean. The terrace doors do not have a window covering over them and if you sleep on the couch bed you notice it. Also the couch beds should be cleaned more often than they have been. We didn’t use the community pool so not sure how it was. However where our cabin was located up the hill from pool when the folks were loud we heard it. We did see bear in the neighborhood so that was exciting. Location of the cabin was good. We could by pass some of the Gatlinburg traffic where the cabin is.

Very convenient to downtown Gatlinburg

Cabin was very clean and spacious. Had everything we needed. Check in was as easy as it gets. They send you the door pin earlier and you just punch it in and start your vacation. Cabin is definitely in the woods, and has a beautiful view. But its only a few minutes to downtown Gatlinburg. You actually have pubic parking right at the traffic light number 3 where you come out. The cabins are close to each other, but you have plenty of privacy. Would definitely stay again. We also had a bear just outside our cabin. So you get the full experience. You also have a food city just down the road. So its easy to stock up on groceries.

The view of the mountain was fantastic, and the host responded very quickly through text messages. There's a food city grocery store 4 minutes away. It's in a very convenient location to go to the great smokey mountain and downtown Gatlinburg. There were here and there small maintenance issues, such as toilet seat broken; one of the stove top burner didn't work; the cooking utensils were all plastic and some were broken; the fire alarm came on for no reason twice; there were ants on the kitchen counter, especially in the morning; the top floor has small air flow issues, a bit warm, and it was a little bit smelly, probably needs a deep cleaning; there was no curtain for one of the "door window" in 1 downstair bedroom; 1 light in downstairs was flickering.

This property was everything listed in the description and more! You couldn’t have paid to have a better view! It is very up to date and in the perfect location! There is a grocery store less than 5 minutes away and Downtown Gatlinburg is literally right down the street! The host sent all of the access information the day before and it was so easy to access everything. We will definitely be returning to this property in the near future!!

This was our 2nd time staying with this rental company and the owner is great to work with. The view at this cabin is gorgeous! We had a few appliance/cosmetic issues, but the owner assured us they would be repaired ASAP. Absolutely recommend trying out this cabin, or any of his other locations!!
