We booked a 3 night stay on the fact that the reviews praised the hotel as such a great place to stay. I would not have booked for more than one night if I had known that it would be the noisiest room we’ve ever attempted to sleep in. The ac/heating unit rattled all the time. They claimed to be a smoke free hotel but our room reeked of smoke so on those reasons I asked if we could be moved to another room for the next nights and they were very considerate to move us. The next room smelled clean, looked newer and was comfortable but the ac/ heating system still was very noisy. Nice enough for what we paid. Side note: the beds aren’t for short people. I’m 5’3” and had to practically climb to get up into them.

The front desk staff held a whole personal phone conversation on speaker while we were eating breakfast. Our refrigerator froze EVERYTHING and we tried all five settings. They are ABSOLUTELY NOT pet friendly. We have 2 dogs we brought and left in the hotel on first night for dinner. We got a call they were barking. We came right back to guilt them down. The policy states they can take you $250 for dog hair and barking…. THIS IS ON TOP OF the $40 each dog per night they charge. They took our deposit because of the 1 complaint we got ! We stayed a week so it cost us $750 more dollars with taxes and fees. What is the $40/night for if not cleaning the dog hair!? Read their policy first… it’s a scam for more money. We gave our dogs sedation so as not to bark the rest of the time. They still took all our money. We will never come here again !

This was a weekend trip to celebrate a birthday. The room was clean and no hint of ever being smoked in so that was great for my wife and me. The room had the small fridge which was nice for keeping a few sodas in and snacks. We had a small microwave but never used it. The Kuerig coffee maker in the room was used often and very handy. This is a good location as most of the main attractions and shops in Gatlinburg were within walking distance saving on dealing with traffic and parking fees as much as $20 a day as of this review. The only negative is the outside stairs and elevator were not kept up and are dirty as well as the walkways. If one judged what the rooms might look like based on the mentioned outside areas it might prevent a person from wanting to stay at the property. The room was very clean and I had no issue with the room.

This place is in a great location. We stay here every time we visit the Smokey Mountains. The rooms are a good size. The issues we had were with the shower water pressure and the hot water. It is an older place so it’s not for everyone.

Older updated property needs some attention to dings here and there. Shower curtain need to be replaced or at least bleached and washed. Breakfast was prepackaged items most were full of sugar. Thank god they did have some hard boiled eggs and a nice selection of tea.

It was a very good experience. The floor could have been cleaner but there was a broom and dustpan in the closet so that helped. All else seemed to be clean, i.e. bedding and bathroom. The staff was very helpful. My dog was welcomed and I was credited the $250 pet fee. No complaints.
