RIGHT IN GATLINBURG! LUXURY LOG CABIN ON THE ROARING FORK RIVER!

Welcome to River Song, the Gatlinburg cabin that fits in the "Oh My!" category. Only a mile (yes, you can walk!) from downtown Gatlinburg, River Song is a hand-crafted log cabin constructed of Yellow Pine logs imported from British Columbia. The cabin sits directly on the Roaring Fork River, and you will hear the “song” of the river throughout the cabin, day and night.

Fly fishers can enjoy wading up and down the Roaring Fork and catching rainbow trout – the Roaring Fork is public water and is routinely stocked, with trout reaching as large as 14 inches. Watch for bears! Bears visit River Song frequently!

Guests can sip a cup of coffee or tea watching the River on the front porch, or crank open the casement windows and watch & listen to the River from the dining and living room areas. Cooks will love the higher-end KitchenAid stainless appliances, including range, cooktop, and convection/microwave. A large, stainless steel French door refrigerator will easily hold a full stock of food items. The stocked kitchen is appointed with unique quarried granite countertops and fine cabinetry.

Guests will overlook the Roaring Fork while eating meals at the hand-built, solid hickory dining table with handmade chairs. The living room includes a stone stack wood-burning fireplace, leather furnishings, and 43 inch LED TV. The living room sofa opens into a queen bed for extra guests. Casement windows can be opened for fresh air or sounds of the River.

The hot tub deck is immediately off of the living room, and allows guests to soak take in the sights and sounds of the Roaring Fork River. Suspended from the ceiling is a lighted, antique wooden canoe.

The master bedroom boasts comfy mattresses on a large, aspen log bed. Guests can indulge in the clawfoot tub in the master bath, which includes a vanity with granite, and his and hers sinks, as well as a separate shower.

Upstairs, a billiards room awaits, with a solid aspen log, slate top pool table and mounted LED television. A guest bedroom with comfortable queen size mattresses is also upstairs, as well as a separate bathroom area with shower (no tub)

River Song has a park-style outdoor barbeque grill, washer/dryer, a private, gated bridge, and board games for the whole family.

Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned cabin, which features a fireplace. There's a private patio. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Conveniences include a microwave and a coffee/tea maker.

The property was beautiful and perfect for two couples. It was clean and the kitchen was lovely! The TV didn’t really work but honestly we didn’t use it. Everything else was great, we only wished we’d planned less activities out in Gatlinburg so we could have enjoyed it more!!

Roaring River Cabin

The property was VERY clean. It was just as described. Easy to get to and easy to get into town. The river out side was roaring which made going to sleep easy.My only complaint would be the parking. We had 2 cars and to get them parked off the road was a small challenge.

Highly Recommend!!

First and foremost this cabin was immaculately cleaned, and the overall construction was very impressive. My friend and I stayed for 4 nights, and were so happy to come back to the cabin everyday after shopping or hiking in the mountains. Absolutely adored all of the “local decor” inside the cabin, very cozy. The “Roaring River” was also a beautiful sound to hear 24/7. We did see a bear a few times, but it was across the street. Just a couple of things that I didn’t realize when booking: 1- unless there is a trail somewhere to make this cabin “within walking distance” of downtown Gatlinburg, it’s a HIKE to get there and back. We chose not to walk. 2- there is only 1 bed in the loft the 1 bedroom (2 beds total). I thought there were 2 beds in the loft. That misunderstanding may be my bad. 3- The cabin is very near the outlet of Roaring Fork Motortrail… so there is a lot of traffic going by. The river drowns out the traffic noise though, and we never experienced a traffic jam. 4- the choice of board games or puzzles to help keep people busy during bad weather is minimal. All in all, this is a beautiful cabin! I would just recommend for smaller groups. If my husband and I ever come up to visit, I would DEFINITELY book again.

Perfect location

The property was prime location. Far enough from the hustle and bustle of main, but close enough to walk, depending on your ability(Just be careful as there are no sidewalks in the neighborhood) Parking can be pricey, unless you park for the entire day. Didn’t cook or use the hot tub. So can not comment much on that. Washer and dryer were clean and worked well. The constant running creek was very relaxing. We didn’t have much down time. So for what little time we had at the house it was perfect.

Cabin was in the perfect location.. Cabin was beautiful and cozy. Enjoyed having the windows open listening to the River Song. Would not change anything about this place. Can't wait to be back next March. Celebrated my husbands 1yr liver transplant weekend. What a blessing.

Perfect cabin for a peaceful vacation

We had a lovely, peaceful time in the cabin by the river. The location and sound of the babbling river cannot be matched. We enjoyed the hot tub but the “privacy” fence was not so private; we could easily see neighbors and people driving by. The kitchen was great for cooking dinners or a grab n go breakfast before heading out to the park. The parking was easy, right out front. And mom also thoroughly enjoyed the claw foot soaking tub. The boys enjoyed the pool table too! Thank you for the opportunity to stay here!!!
