The property is new and very nice. It is in the heart of the city so convenient for exploring Glasgow. We had a lovely room on the 12th floor with great views. We arrived early morning after a trans-Atlantic flight and were very pleased that reception gave us early check-in. The breakfast is rather disappointing. Staff are very pleasant and helpful.

I complained several times about the construction noise outside my room and it didn’t seam to change. The construction started one morning at 6:10am. Once at 6:30am and once at 7:20am. Not cool when I was on holidays. Nothing seemed to change, I was given no discount or compensation for this.

Excellent hotel, we were nervous opting for an unfamiliar hotel brand (US travelers). This hotel was FABULOUS & after driving past many other US-brand hotels we had decided 'against' (due to price & location) we were VERY HAPPY we chose The Maldron Hotel. Rooms are tiny, but this is pretty normal outside the US. Bonus: this hotel had a room that had a "double" bed plus a "single" bed… One of the things that I found prevalent in Scotland/UK hotels is that "double" bed is typically a queen size (double meaning for 2 people) and not a "double" which is a full size bed in the US.). This was an advantage so that we could have our teenage son stay with us to save the cost of a second room. Rooms in this hotel were very clean, and I am particularly picky about cleanliness in the bathrooms and everything was an extremely high standard of clean! A couple oddities to prepare for : -- no outlets in the bathroom for ladies hairdryers/curling irons, so that had to be done in the regular room area (very little space & only a small "shelf" ledge to set things on underneath the television (no desk or table top area) -- if you want to use the gym, you must have them add it to your room card -- get an extra key-card, your room lights & AC do not work (at all) without a key card inserted in a wall-device that turns everything on -- prepare for little/no storage or for suitcases & just a small open-closet area

This hotel was awesome! Staff were friendly and helpful with any of our needs. Our room was on a lower floor and directly across from the elevator bank but it was somehow very quiet! Beds are very comfortable and breakfast was nice every morning. The location can’t be beat - just down the street from Buchanan Station and a short walk to so many shops and restaurants. Had a great stay and will return if ever in Glasgow again!

Great location, clean and comfortable

Perfect location, easy to walk everywhere and taxis could stop outside. Room was comfortable with all amenities needed and super clean. The bed was a bit soft for my liking but it can't be helped. A/c worked perfectly but bathroom extractor didn’t. Reception staff were excellent and were promptly helpful with anything you might need. Would definitely stay there again when in Glasgow

We had a lovely stay. Unfortunately we couldn't get our shower to work....we ended up with cold showers this morning. As we are travelling to Singapore via Dubai we really wanted hot showers this morning. We are at the airport now! The beds were very comfortable and breakfast lovely.

Glasgow August 2025

This is about our 6th time staying at the Maldron. It is close for shopping (walkable), restaurants and for transportation. Buchanan street bus station being about 5 a min walk and both Queen street and Central rail stations being less than a 10 min walk. The hotel has a lovely lounge area with bar facility and coffee/tea service. There is also a restaurant. My only negative comment would be that the hotel is not quick to respond to email inquiries. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again in the future

Modern hotel in Glasgow, about 10 minutes walk from the main train stations. Decent sized room, including table and a couple of sitting chairs. Modern bathroom with good rain shower. Breakfast had decent variety, especially on the cooked size.

Very comfortable hotel, great location, easy walking distance to main areas. Hop on Hop off bus got us around the outskirts of the inner city and we got off a block from the hotel at the end of the day! Staff were friendly and very helpful.

Excellent Hotel

Lovely clean hotel. Welcoming reception staff and pleasant friendly breakfast staff. Arrived early and wanted to leave our luggage and check in later. Receptionist checked and was able to give us our room. Central hotel and ideal location for Pavilion Theatre. Car parking at Cambridge Street also ideal. We will stay at this hotel again.

Nice place. the shower being just half a pane of glass, even when putting the towel outside of it, made it pretty slippery. Area around it was a lot of young kids going to bars at night. Hotel was very nice overall
