I loved staying at this 1940s art deco hotel! The original architecture and style have been preserved. For that reason, it’s not for everyone; for instance, the bathrooms have not been remodeled—they are still small with little counter space as you’d expect in a 1940s hotel. However, they have the beautiful, original tile work and fixtures. The employees and manager were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast had good coffee, waffles, oatmeal, bread and muffins, cereal in a spacious dining room. The location of the hotel is perfect! Easy walk to shops, restaurants, and galleries. Wonderful experience and I will stay there again!

A little challenging this visit. One of our rooms was unavailable at check in time. The bed spreads need to be thicker...more like a quilt instead of a light blanket. The hotel was right next to downtown Silver City and we were able to walk to just about everything. A good visit and stay.

I arrived early to the hotel at 115p. It’s one of my favorite places to stay when I’m in Silver city. I politely asked if there’s a possibility of checking in early, the young lady at the Front Desk said she’ll try to get me in by 2:30 at best, but she has to wait for the room to be cleaned but guaranteed by 3p at worst. Of course, I thanked her for that information. I went for a short walk to the ATM to get some money and when I returned to the lobby at 2:08 PM, she said I can get in right now. I was beyond happy that she made the effort. I had dinner reservations at 3:30p. I made sure to leave a gratuity for both the front desk and housekeeping I appreciated everything. Another successful stay at the Murry!

I loved my stay at the Murray Hotel in Silver City NM. The front desk staff, especially Matthew, was always friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable, particularly clean, and in excellent condition. The continental breakfast was especially appealing with selections to meet everyone's needs. All in all, a great place to stay in a great town.
