Hotel Colorado

Visited Glenwood, Colorado, with friends for a day at the hot springs and an overnight. Have stayed at the Hotel Colorado many times. The charm of the place lies in its history and proximity to the hot springs and the town of Glenwood. The staff is excellent, and we were provided an upgrade upon check-in. The challenge is that the rooms require upgrades, such as new carpet and updated beds. Little changes without changing the charm of the hotel.

Looked forward to staying in this historic hotel but We got bumped ! Only good thing to say was that they arranged for us to stay at the Lodge next door for no charge. Lodge included spa entry - which would have been extra if we’d stayed at the CO. Lodge was great!

This hotel is so amazing and historical. We were very pleased with the rooms. Overall it was very clean and plenty of space for our family. One con was the front staff. We asked 5 different people about the area, things to do, etc and they all were clueless. I feel like working in a hotel you should know the area and be able to help your guests. However, the bellmen, maintenance staff and gift store clerk were all very friendly and even gave us some fun tips about the hotel to look at. I would stay there again.

Especially nice with lots of history. It's over a hundred years old, with lots of character and has updated decor in the rooms. The hotel charges $15 for parking at the Hotel, but there are parkings spots right outside the Hotel with no charge.

Nice vintage hotel. Good ambiance. Had to switch rooms due to bugs coming through patio door. Bathrooms are ok not super clean.not much room for toiletries. Food and service was great. Drink service seems to struggle.limited courtyard seating.staff is not overly friendly.

Hotel was great! Our bellman was very helpful, friendly and informative about places to visit. We had a great time and the staff made it the most enjoyable for us. The restaurants were good as well!
