Bed was lumpy and hard, air conditioning was very noisy, no breakfast at all, employee needed the day off, expensive for the accomidations. Customer service lacking. overall rundown. We wont recommend.

Okay for the price. The room was very spacious but the TV didn’t work and the beds were horribly squeaky. The queen bed was slanted downwards at the headboard so very uncomfortable and the metal bunk beds were so squeaky they woke everyone up all night. Breakfast wasn’t great either. All the fruit was rotten and hot items were extremely u appetizing.

The Motel was not as was presented in the web, the room wasn’t even clean enough, the air conditioning was in bad condition, the controls all damaged and only one temperature was set up. The up stairs walk area was dirty and needs someone care. The room walls in some areas was stains. Overall this place needs some work. But no all was bad, the front desk was very nice and the breakfast was good. If they take care of rooms and the outside of the building can be a good place to stay for the money.

Drove 5 hrs and no room with reservations!

Poor poor management. I booked this place 3 weeks ago. I drove 5 hours and my kids are tired. I get there and the room was canceled. Not one person called me. Management didn’t call anyone that had a room. Everyone was sent away. How crappy is that on a holiday weekend in a town with only two motels. Will never book here again and this was my first time booking here.

They were unable to provide a room to me. The receptionist gave me plastic cards for three different rooms, neither of room has electronic lock. All metal keys were missing. No manager was at the size, reportedly the manager was fired earlier that day. Finally (after an hour of this boring nightmare) I just went to another motel. Yet have to get my money back because the room was paid in advance.

Had reservations (paid via expedia) but woman at desk couldn't open the door to my room because of an issues with the electronic key. The Motel still charged me and said I need to get the refund from Expedia. Really? The poderosa collected it. They can now deal with Visa. The woman at the desk was very polite and nice and it wasn't her fault. I guess I involve Expedia and Visa.

Made the reservation but they didn't have my room as it was uncleaned. Front desk person was nice but, clearly over their head. I'm now required to work to get my payment back after a long trip.

Property needs an update. One bed was newer than the other. The room wasn't very clean when we arrived. This is the first time I have never had to show my ID while checking in. I was give a key card, got to my room to find out it needed a key. But it didn't matter since my room was unlocked when I tried to open the door. Breakfast was great!

We stay here all the time when visiting family . We usually see a younger lady who is fantastic and friendly . Today there was an older lady at the check in who was horrible. She has no customer service skills . If I had not already paid for room I would have cancelled . I will not stay here again if she continues to be here . Horrible !

The property was in desperate need of repair and upgrades. The furniture was very damaged. Tv remote didn't work. The light in the room didn't work only the table lamp. There was actually muddy hand prints on the wall and the shower.The bathroom light was broken. People were smoking pot outside the door most of the night. We wanted to sleep and it just wasn't possible. We had several another choices of locations to stay. We wanted to spend our money with local business instead of a national chain that was a true mistake. We would not recommend staying at the Pioneer for any reason. I will add that there was credit due to the person managing the breakfast. It was very clean and well organized.

The rooms vary in layout and features from a simple beds with microwave and fridge to a full on kitchen. I like the white cotton bed coverings. It’s very affordable. This is not a corporate motel. It has a bit of a funky edge which gives it character. Beds are comfortable, water is hot, showerheads deliver a nice water pressure. Staff is friendly and accommodating. I feel safe here. It’s usually pretty quiet. Wi-Fi is reliable. My only pet peeve is the popup air fresheners, which is a personal preference. I just set them outside the door. Coming and going to Goldendale the mountains are so beautiful. It’s a great place to stop and refresh.
