Convenient location for work in the Houghton / Higgins area. Rooms are nothing fancy, but clean and bed was reasonably comfortable.

Stacy at the front desk was great. Warm greeting, friendly, helpful and very kind. The exit door at the end off the hallway was not secure. No exercise room. Stay was fine.

Room was freezing and heater wasn’t working; front desk fixed for us. Shower water was also freezing, even after running for 20 min- knob was installed incorrectly. Breakfast items included, coffee, tea, juice, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, bagels, yogurt, and mini muffins. Hot tub was nice, but found the pool to be cold as well. On our second night using the pool, we found two poops on the floor- not sure if it was from a child or dog. Hotel is pet friendly for an additional fee. The manager didn’t want to discuss our concerns with us because she said they had already offered to move us to another room- the room was on the second floor with no elevator, and I have mobility/disability issues, which I shared with the staff member when I checked in, so they already knew I couldn’t stay on the second floor. The beds were nice but I wouldn’t stay again.

The property was very clean. The bed was slightly comfortable. It could stand to be replaced. Breakfast was minimal for a continental breakfast however, it was still good. We would stay there again.

Houghton Lake Getaway

Pool & spa were awesome for the relaxation. Bed is very soft & comfortable. Hotel was very clean & maintained although might to hard to notice at nighttime considering how far off the road it is. A few minor issues we encountered that I won’t list on here cause I forgot to mention to the staff before I left & don’t think that’s fair to list it on here.
