The worst

Fire alarm was going off extremely loudly multiple times both nights we stayed. Vending machine stole money. Front desk staff terrible. Made a lame excuse about the fire alarm on the second night. “We think someone is cooking in their room. We do have an older system.” For $200 a night and we paid for two rooms, two nights. Completely awful and the low quality/age of this Baymont is putting the brand to shame.

Stay at the Low Quality Inn in Gaylord for a similar experience (minus the 4 false fire alarms) at a much more reasonable price! The front staff were very inviting on initial arrival, yet lacking in adequate problem-solving once the fire alarms started going off at 11PM. After the 4th alarm and no compensation for an apparently known issue, we left. Had we been informed the building was experiencing a faulty alarm system, we would not have checked in! The room (and hallway) was equally disappointing in cleanliness as there were leftover hair shavings on the toilet from the last guest, the shower lining had grime, the bathroom fixtures were rusty, and the linens had visible dirt spots. Our stay rate was roughly $280 for 4 hours (1 hour actual in-room time) before leaving at midnight. If you're staying overnight in Gaylord, just go with Hampton or Fairfield.

I reserved a king room, handicapped accessible online. What we ended up with, was a double queen on the 2nd floor with no elevator. The lobby & halls were not air conditioned. There were hairs on our bedsheets. Besides all of that, we got very little sleep because someone's car alarm kept going off right outside about every 90 min, all night long. Went down to try to get a small breakfast the next morning, almost everything was gone at 8am & what was there, was cold.

Overall I was very pleased with the stay. The building was beautiful. We only had an overnight stay so we didn't get to enjoy The lake view, the pool or indoor water park.

It’s an older hotel. Limited counter space in and general space in the bathroom. That’s ok but the carpet was so dirty you couldn’t walk on it in bare feet. It made the whole room feel gross. I wouldn’t go back just because of the carpet.

Pool was unusable with 90 degree water! It was a giant hot tub not a pool. Aging hotel needs upgrading. Broken shower head holder, no a/c in common areas, peeling ceilings, etc. it was clean, comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly! Probably wouldn’t stay here again until they remodel.

The room was clean. Beds were very comfortable. Everything was fine until breakfast. There were no forks, no eggs, no sausage and a line of 8 people waiting to make a waffle. The cereal area was a mess. Milk and cereal spilled on the counter.

It was a convenient location to town and the expressway. Beds were decent and rooms were clean. The hallways and stairs were dirty. The pool was terrible, way to hot, not filled to top, and had sand or something in sots all over the bottom.

Clean room - Friendly staff

The check-in was very smooth. I liked being able to check out on my phone at the end of my stay. The room was clean and it was quiet. The pool was small. I would stay here again. It is within walking distance to Big Buck Brewery
