Nice but silly issues

Beautiful property and area. Two separate balconies, only one door opened though. Some strange requirement of turning back "towel cards" upon leaving the stay or get charged $50. (mind you, Hyatt pays maybe $2.75 per beach towel and the towel is basically a nice parting gift (don;t make it an ugly reminder). That's a silly way to leave a lasting impression on a Hyatt Member! Fortunately, front desk said its basically not enforced. Sounds like a DOGE finance guy (btw I'm a CFO). The only other complaint was the early closing time of the restaurant. We missed the 8:30 on the dot cut off.

The location was wonderful; it was very close to the beach - a short walk out the back door and you were there. The pool was refreshing especially after a day at the beach. There are lots of dining options within walking distance as well as at the hotel. Plenty of ride share options if walking isn't your preferred travel mode. The staff was very friendly, pleasant and accommodating. Overall, a very nice stay; we would go back.

In The Heart of it All

The facilities, amenities, and room were excellent. The hotel is centrally located to restaurants, bars, nightlife and excellent location for stunning sunsets. White sand beach was beautiful.

The beach is very crowded. The pool area is small and is not conveniently located (on the 8th floor of building). The resort fee basically covers nothing. You still are charged for renting beach chairs, parking, etc.

For Clearwater, this hotel is nice enough especially when traveling with children. We had a terrace room on the 17th floor. Spectacular views especially during sunset. The rooms are a bit outdated. Cleanliness could be better. A cockroach came crawling out of my son’s pullout! They are still dealing with fixing some damage due to the hurricanes so our original terrace room didn’t have the trellis shade thing as pictured. They were kind enough to switch us to a different room so that we can enjoy the view with some protection from the sun. It’s really what we had come for so we had a great time just relaxing! The beach is across the street and a 1 minute walk down some steps and across the way. Cabanas can easily be rented and it can be crowded since it’s not a private beach. The staff is super kind and resourceful. If you need something they will do whatever they can to help. Pool was perfect. Fun for the the kids and adults alike.
