Great get away.

Wonderfully cozy place. Options of takeaway breakfast or sit down with warm and cold items. Coffee and tea in lobby and restaurant on site. Beautiful area for trails and biking .

This hotel has always been very clean, quiet and affordable for the area. It is quite unfortunate that an additional $19/per day "facility use fee" is charged and not disclosed in the fees on Expedia. Additionally, this facility fee is justified by the hotel for providing the daily breakfast, which was very basic (no yogurt, granola or fruit and only scrambled eggs, meat, potatoes and some pastry/toast options) and for the exercise room, which had broken and out of service equipment. We occasionally stay here, traveling from out of state to see family. We'll come again because of its proximity, but this last visit was disappointing.

We arrived at the hotel and from the outside looked amazing. Front desk area looked great. It was clean. Staff were very friendly. Check-in was easy. We got to our room. It was very stuffy and smelled stale. I turned on the air conditioning, which seemed to help. The bathrooms and bedding were clean. It looked delightful. Two of the lights in the room did not work. We got dressed and left for the wedding that we were attending. When we arrived back at around 11 PM the room was hot. I went over and turned the air on again. It stayed on for a few minutes and then shut off. So I shut it off and took a shower. When I came back out, I turned the air on again. It came on. I laid down to go to sleep within a few minutes. The air was off. I tried to get it to come on again and it wouldn’t. My father and I did not sleep much. It was so hot in that room. I was sweating. A few times throughout the night I had to go outside to cool off. Came back up slept for a little bit and then was sweating again. finally at 6 AM. I went outside and remained outside until just after seven when I went back to the room to get dressed, I noticed it smelled like sewer. It made me nauseous.I went in the room changed and me and my parents walked down the hall and the smell was strong it was overwhelming. We left and went home. This was probably one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in and I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels. We have another wedding coming up I will not be recommending this hotel to my guest.

I liked everything about this hotel, except the restaurant. Very limited menu and the food was less than average. Pretty sure the Alfredo sauce was from a jar. If you stay here, plan to eat at The North House right across the street. Excellent menu and outstanding food.

Nice hotel with excellent, friendly & helpful staff. Room was okay, though was surprised how worn it looked. Heavy discoloration on bathroom floors due to staining and scratched up furniture.

Lose the Aromas!

I arrived after a five hour drive to a lobby that had the most overpowering potpourri smell. Upon entering the room my eyes began watering and I got an instant headache. Within a few minutes I located the plug-in fragrance gadget. There was no way I could have slept there for the night. Upon returning to the lobby, the front desk clerk was understanding and brought me to a new room herself to make sure that it was smell free. I understand that this "sense of smell" may be your chain's signature, but it gives the whole property a toxic vibe that you are trying to cover up another smell that may- or may not- be present.

Wonderful experience

This hotel is a wonderful and quaint experience. We have always had great service, and this visit did not disappoint. We were on the third floor of the main building and absolutely loved it. In addition, the breakfast buffet was, as usual, extraordinary! Looking forward to our next stay.

The facility is very nice, clean and inviting. The front desk clerk was helpful and the service in the restaurant was very friendly and fairly efficient. Overall it was a good experience, The pillows should be more varied, they were all fat and a bit firm, but everything else was very good.
