Clean room and the property itself were well maintained. Close and convenient to all things in Hill City. Staff were friendly as well. My only knock on the room was the walls were a bit thin as I could sometimes hear the tenants in the room next to mine. However, I never heard them enough to bother or inconvenience my experience at the Lantern Inn. I'd definitely consider staying there again on my next visit to the Black Hills.

Very basic and clean property. I want to thank the young man who was looking after the place while his family was away. He was very young for this responsibility but he tried very hard to help his customers! Small rooms and a refreshing small pool after a long hot drive.

Lantern Inn was so wonderful. What a cute and locally run Inn. The owners are super nice and the property is great. Rooms are clean and have everything you need, location is great with places that are within walking distance. Hill city is a cozy little town and in middle of the places we went. Great great location for visit Mt Rushmore or Custer state park. Equal distance to rapid city as well. I will definitely book here again.

Remodeled and updated is SO cute. Rooms are very well done with colors and surfaces in addition to maintaining some charm of original hardware. Price was good. Onsight owners were available and friendly. We have stayed at other corporate owned hotels in Hill City and The Lantern Inn was like finding a little gem
