Budget Hotel , it is what it is

This is a budget hotel. We have stayed twice both in the winter which is their off season. It's kind of the only true option when we visit family. The rooms aren't dirty, but they could use attention. Lack of winter staff is a big factor. I suggest bringing your own pillows if you can. the hotels are terrible

GREAT PLACE

Wonderful stay! In fact, we traveled to Deadwood, SD from Hot Springs, SD thinking we would stay a night there, but decided to go back to Hot Springs, SD because it was so wonderful there. The USA Hotel is very accommodating and the staff is very friendly.

Great Hotel

The gals at the front desk were so helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond to make sure our trip to Hot Springs, SD was very enjoyable. Thank you for the wonderful breakfast, and the nice stay.

Hotel is pet freindly abd charge a nominal fee which is nice. They had snow and ice but never had anyone clear the parking lot or sidewalks. I fell in the parking lot that is why some stars were lower.

Run down

I stayed in this Hotel when it first opened. It was clean and comfortable. The hotel now looks run down and feels dirty. My room was dirty. One bed was clean but the other bed had several pieces of hair on the pillow. The bed looked like it had been slept in and had hair and other particles in the sheets. One of the bathroom lights cover was broken and the halogen light above the sink was flickering. The tub made a horrible screeching sound when on. And the heat was hard to regulate. The person at the front desk did apologize and change the bedding on the bed that looked dirty. Breakfast in the morning was completely out by 7am. The same front desk person was starting to heat up more but it took longer than we had to wait. Overall, I wont choose to stay here again. It went from an amazing experience 10 years ago to a bad one.

The staff, the few we saw, were very friendly and helpful. The room was missing its smoke detector, and the bathroom sink had no stopper. We were there for six nights, and because we left the room by mid-morning, our room was never serviced, leaving us with no toilet paper, and with wet towels.

The staff was amazing. This is an older property in need of a remodel, however, in Hot Springs pickings are slim. They have a nice hot breakfast. Hotel clean but beds old and uncomfortable.
