Bed was unbelievably comfortable. Everything you would need in a hotel room was there. Breakfast wasnt so great though. Id add at least some ham and cheese. The floor in my bathroom was not clean after the previous guests which was visible because of a certain stain on the floor.

The room we have wasn't dirty but could've been cleaner - we didn't have a fridge which was frustarting for keeping things cool. The room was warm so unfortunately had to keep the AC on all night. The facilites are good with a decent bar/restaurant - the food was okay, nothing amazing but just usual bar fare. The gym was good and changing rooms very clean and modern. The pool was good but needs some lighting added to it. On our last day we went to breakfast to find quite a lot of things had run out, no pastries left - the milk for cereal was like water, so not sure if they were running out of milk and their coffee machine wasn't great. I guess they probably want you to buy a Starbucks, which is on site. When we checked out there wasn't any question if we enjoyed our stay, which I would've thought would be the most important thing to ask your customers. Overall it wasn't a terrible stay but I'm afraid we won't be back.

Our second stay at The Village. Conveniently situated for bus into Edinburgh. Free parking at weekend. Nice bar and restaurant area. Rooms very clean and comfortable, ideal for a couple of nights. Will stay again.
