Christina was so personable and kind, and warm! She made sure i was taken care of! As a woman travelling alone, i would reccomend the beacon. It had a family atmosphere and its a cozy, quiet spot. It was safe, clean and lovely. I loved the decor of my room! Only possible improvement would be a microwave. The location offers a boardwalk on property tbat leads difectly to the ocean!! Its a lovely place with lovely people. And the beach is quiet and uncrowded!! Will be staying here again for my beach vacations. Loved it! Thank you so much for making my stay comfortable, kind and relaxing!!

Birthday getaway

We brought our daughter down for the weekend for her birthday. We have stayed here in past and now the rooms and been updated and so pretty. I loved sitting out back in the sitting area/kitchen. The staff was nothing short of amazing. We loved every second of our trip and we will be going back.

My honest review

We had the most incredible time at this cozy beach spot! The place has direct beach access, making it so easy to enjoy the sand and waves. The location offers the perfect view to catch both sunrise and sunset – truly breathtaking. The amenities were top-notch, with a fantastic gas grill for cooking, and everything we needed was readily available. A huge shoutout to Christina, who was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Her kindness and attentiveness made our stay so much more enjoyable, and she truly made the experience 10x better. This wasn’t our first time staying here, and it definitely won’t be the last. I wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else – this place is a gem! 5 stars all around!

Don't go there!

This reservation was horrible from the time we received the first email from The Beacon. While the Hotels.com website said that the price included "all taxes and fees" we were immediately hit with $30 per night in additional fees. Then we found out that although the website said we were reserving a room with a kitchenette, the hotel was not giving us one. When we arrived at the hotel we were directed to a part of the property that was under renovations. There was no outside lighting. The smoke detector in the room was missing. The lock and latch of the door left a visible gap that you could see the parking lot through. We had to stuff it with paper towels to keep the cold out! The door is fully closed in the photos. And we found two cockroaches in the room immediately. (One alive, one dead). It snowed while we were there. For some strange reason, they swept the sidewalks in front of the empty rooms but not in front of ours. Even the though the place was largely empty in January, we were not permitted an option to move to another room or a refund because it was a non-refundable reservation. I won't use this site again because of the misinformation, and I won't ever stay at The Beacon again.

This motel is going through a name change and they just updated all of their appliances. We were assigned to a room which had terrible saging in the floor. Husband requested another room and we were quickly reassigned to a better one. The picnic area is top notch. Gotta see it to believe it. The boardwalk, proximity to the beach and sunrise/sunsets are amazing, quick and breathtaking. If I had gotten angry with the condition of the floor and left that night, I would have never known the beauty all around me. So glad we stayed and thank you for being so hospitable. Just a gut feeling, once they work out all of the little repairs - this will easily be a very expensive room on the beach. Can't say for certain, but it sure seems that way -especially with all the sweat and tears going into the place. Thank you.

The Beacon

This was a basic hotel, but I was at the beach. The room was semi upgraded, and there was not any heat. The air conditioning was on very high, and I figured out how to turn it off, which made the room much warmer. I could hear the dogs in the room next door. For being at the beach, this hotel was adequate and very reasonable.

Convenient. Great location. Beach access. Clean. Just what I needed for a long weekend getaway. There was a lot of commotion from an arguing couple in an adjoining room for several hours but that’s no fault of the host or a reflection of a typical stay. I plan to return! Thanks “Beacon!”
