Very good

Extremely friendly staff and a perfectly situated motel/campground for any of your Badlands exploration needs! Room was great, nice comfortable bed, decent shower - nothing to complain about. Will definitely stay again if I'm in the area.
Excellent location and great value for the price. Clean room and very comfortable bed. Very close to the entrance of the Badlands made it convenient to return for the evening programs. Word of advice: dining choices are very scarce. We had an ok burger at the Wagon Wheel Bar and Grill for dinner. No decent options for breakfast although the motel did offer some food. Next time I would bring some yogurt or breakfast food and stick it in the room fridge.
Location is great and desk staff are friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom is worn and dated. The regular beds were comfortable but the pull out soda bed needs to be replaced as I could feel the support wires through the mattress. Good supply of toiletries and appreciated the regular and decaf coffee oprions.
The only positive this place has is it’s proximity to Badlands NP.
Otherwise this place is a total dump. Our bathroom door didn’t lock and kept getting stuck. The room was so small, I kept banging my knees in the furniture. There is no place to put the clothes or toiletries in the the bathroom.
On top of all this, the day we stayed WE DIDNT HAVE RUNNING WATER IN THE ROOM!!!!
The front desk said it would be restored in 20 mins. When it still wasn’t back after 30 mins, we left without a shower or brushing our teeth. And the staff couldn’t care less.
I get there are very less options to stay in this area, but this is a terrible one.

We love staying here. Always welcoming. We look forward to seeing the progress with upgrades. The only downfall is no eating option on site currently. But there are great local options just down the road

The room was clean and comfortable, although the bathroom seemed like it hadn't been updated in quite some time. The carpet in our room was also a little dingy. Perhaps replacing with laminate is the plan as I saw other rooms with that. We were content staying here and understand the housing units are older which makes it harder to maintain. Overall, we were thankful for a soft, clean place to land.
We booked the room because we liked how close it was to the national park. The room seemed to be kinda run down. I know they are in the process of updating their rooms so we may have gotten one that was not updated. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the water pressure in the bathroom was poor. The people running the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. The town is extremely small so plan accordingly. The only restaurants near by are bars.
Charming old style motel. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Older building, but clean and maintained. Perfect location for visiting Badlands National Park, less than 5 minute from entrance.
Great location. Only stayed one night but was very convenient for our trip to the Badlands.

Expedia should not advertise a restaurant and bar. They should not advertise fire pit availability. They should have the ability to notify guests when the pool does not function. That is 3 things that steered us here that do not function or exist and is truly dissapointing and of not fault of the awesome staff that said theyve tried to reach out to Expedia with no luck.

The Badlands NP
Old rustic hotel and basic necessities provided: towels, soap, and shampoo & conditioner, 1 small bag of ice for every 2 nights. Air conditioning unit is very loud but it helped to cover neighbors’ noise since the walls are very thin. Has a small fridge, tv and coffee maker.
Main office has convenient items for purchase and staff is very nice and friendly.
About 2 - 3 places to eat near hotel. Mainly pizza/chicken nuggets/hamburgers type of food. Runs about $12-20/person.
The best reason to stay at the hotel is the distance from The Badlands National Park and the price.
My partner and I stayed here on a roadtrip after visiting Badlands. The room was clean, the check-in process a big lengthy in signing various forms, but the biggest inconvenience was the lack of food options for dinner and lack of grocery or convenience stores to buy items like water. I'd stay here again but would and would reccomend to anyone else to bring plenty of supplies as you will be unlikely to find open places locally to buy items.
