Property is in desperate need of a renovation. The cost of the resort is offset by the ability to visit the sister resorts. Those amenities and facilities far exceeded Amara Cay. Stay at 3 Waters if you can afford it. Worth the additional cost.

This is a great property just wish I had been there longer to enjoy it we were driving to Key West. The beach view is awesome. The Hotel pool bar is great too. We ate breakfast at the outdoor area of the hotel. Took pictures and saw the chickens. This was a great place to stop when headed in or out of the Keys!

We were down in that area for a wedding. Several/families staying there. Walked in and smelled like must/mold. (According to all families) phone didn’t work, the safe didn’t work, tv didn’t work (after 4 requests fixing it. Not that we watched it a lot…but it’s the point for an expensive “resort”), no hot water in the sink in bathroom to wash hands or face. Offer free coffee in the am but 2 out of 5 days they were out. They were pleasant at the front desk. Tried to get a different room to no avail. And don’t get a 6 oz coke from the squirter outside at the Tiki bar. $5.00 per cup no refills.

Absolutely breath taking experience. The only thing I would recommend is for the property to have coffe and water available around the clock and for the pool to stay open past sun down.

Very nice lobby and pool area. Great service at bar and restaurant. AC in room was a bit noisy. Lighting in rooms was a little dark and the AC in gym could have been turned lower than 75. Staff was very nice, welcoming and always helpful. It is a beautiful hotel.

It is a nice average resort and a fair price for the cost. Absolutely nothing wrong with the resort; from the staff to the service to the room, all good. From a point of comparison, we usually stay at the the Islander Resort and just decided to try someplace else so we stayed at the Amada Cay. Again nothing wrong or bad but we will be returning to the the Islander Resort. For a few dollars more, the rooms are updated, the parking is better, the resort is larger and better laid out, a better gym. We enjoyed the Amada Cay, nothing wrong but prefer and will return to the Islander Resort.

The perfect puppy friendly get away !! I still can’t believe I was able to relax under a huge shaded umbrella and take in the salty air with our dog by our side. This place was amazing.

The property is awesome, but the building is older and the rooms are not well maintained. There was evidence of water damage and the bottoms of doors delaminating. The room was a bad experience. We paid for a partial ocean view room and instead had a parking lot view with cars pulled up right outside our window. When I asked the desk about it they were rude and I was never able to talk to a manager. The bed mattresses were completely worn out and the pillows were poor as well. The outside pool and beach areas were awesome. And the surrounding restaurants and things to do were great as well. Overall though I would not recommend this property and have no plans to return.

Nice stay for family activities

Great access to the joint hotels by water taxi with access to all the resort entertainment and outdoor activities. We enjoyed kayaking and the pools every day. Downsides: very slow service at the bars and restaurants mainly because not enough workers. At the bar it was almost like they are doing you a favor serve you, picking and choosing who they want to serve first. The bathrooms have nice lights but toilets were badly maintained.
