Comfortable and convenient

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at LaQuinta. We were there for two days. The room was very clean and seemed to have been remodeled recently. The staff were polite and accommodating. Breakfast was plentiful with staff cleaning and replenishing constantly. We would definitely stay again. The only negatives was the hallways needed vacuuming and the elevator was very warm.

The ac didn’t work well. Which is my only complaint. Too many people in one breakfast area. The other guests were rude, messy, and didn’t use serving tools. The staff tried to keep it clean and remind them to use the utensils. We didn’t stay for breakfast since guests were using their fingers. Who thinks it’s appropriate to reach in a dish and grab food with your hands??? Yuck! The hotel is clean, beds were good, staff was friendly.

The bathroom door in my room couldn't close because it was swollen. The refrigerator in my room wasn't working. They had 2 front desk staff one was nice and helpful the other one was rude.

Excellent value for money—cost per night was half of what hotels in Newark were charging for smaller rooms with fewer amenities. Large, quiet rooms with microwave, coffeemaker and small refrigerator. The bathrooms have enormous bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash, so several people can use them/no need to pack your own. Many breakfast options, with large quantities available. There is a Red Robin restaurant next door if you want to grab lunch or dinner, and a Target is also nearby if you’d rather get groceries or pick up sundries, although the hotel also offers reasonably priced snacks and sundries. I didn’t use them, but there is also an indoor pool included and washers/dryers available for a small fee. The only negative is little access to public transport and potentially long waits for taxis or rideshare services. There is a bus stop roughly 10 minutes walk from the hotel, but the area is fairly deserted at night and the bus doesn’t run 24 hours. There is also no shuttle service to/from the airport. Staff were very helpful and late checkout of 3pm was an extra $50. If I go to a concert in Newark again, I’d definitely stay here.

Nothing on additional pet policy. My dog barked it was still 7pm daylight and I was asked that I needed to stay with him or go. On vacation with son. This wasnt on their website. This was 4th stop on trip and this only happened here. Would agree if it was pass 10PM. Ridicolous post all policies. Would of not booked

It’s a great hotel and I stay here multiple times for New York. The breakfast is great and has a giant seating area. The parking area is huge and the lobby is clean and well kept up. They have a complementary tea/coffee station at all times which is great! The only thing I dislike is pool closing early.
