The staff was super friendly and wonderful. The room wasn't what we were expecting from pictures online. There was toothpaste splatter all over the frame of the mirror, the chair was torn up, the wall had scratches/paint missing, and the bathroom had dead bugs in the corner of the shower. The walls were very thin and I could hear the person next door snoring, as well as people up in the morning leaving. When we walked into our room, which wasn't until early morning hours, it smelled like pinesol, like someone had just cleaned it as my shoes were sticking to the floor.

While checking in with Nichole, Pamala the evening clerk at the front desk thought it would be funny to say; "We call rooms at 3:00 AM when a single guest is staying in a double queen room." I did not think much of the comment at 11:00 PM until I received a wake up call at 3:50 AM in the morning and was unable to go back to sleep! I spoke to Kim in the morning when checking out and she recommended I speak to Richard Nichols the GM on Monday. After speaking to Richard he had no apology for my experience and encouraged me to go ahead and make a review. (So, here it is!) I would NEVER RECOMMEND this location, if you would like to get a good night's sleep! The rudeness of Pamala and Richard, GM was outrageous!

The gal at the front desk was great; very friendly and helpful! The pool area was nice to sit in and unwind from a long drive. All other aspects of our stay weren't so great - but we got what we paid for as we arrived late and needed to leave early in the morning. Allergies were running rampant in our room, the doors closed so loudly and our shower curtain seemed to have some dried blood on it....ick. There are plenty of other places to stay in Joplin.

On the way home to TX

It was good. We are a retired couple so what matters to us is a little bit different than the younger folks. The decor needed some updating. But it was clean and quiet. The breakfast was very nice and there was plenty of it when we got there.
