Great stay. My room was not ready right at check-in however it was okay because I had another room on the reservation to go into. It worked out fine but if the check in is at 3 the room should be ready.
We were there 5 consecutive nights. Multiple days no maid service. Very old facility. No attention to detail. The biggest plus was the valet parking service.
Did not like the super loud band in the late afternoon/early evening. So loud you could not have a conversation. And could hear it in our room facing pool/ocean area.
The first day and a half were miserable. The hotel is old. The rooms small and very noisy.
I had to move room after day 2, the manager was helpful.
One good thing were the fish tocos from the bar.
But if I can help it, I will never stay there again. Terrible
Overall our stay was good. Room was as described and clean. Bed was comfortable. Loved having a balcony to sit on while drinking coffee or an evening cocktail. Need to have microwaves in the room and a regular coffee maker. The Keurig only came with 2 pods for a weekend stay. The shower trim was coming apart and every time we opened the doors more grout would crumble off. Our room door was out of alignment so you could really hear everything in the hallway. Our last morning there we were woken at 6:15am by someone in the room next door screaming at someone on the phone. That went in for about 20 min.
We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant. Breakfast was extremely slow coming from the kitchen. They said they were really busy for the holiday weekend and just backed up. We should’ve just opted for the buffet so we didn’t wait half an hour for our food. We did do the BBQ buffet for dinner and that was really good. They do have chairs and umbrellas for rent. The pool area is kinda small for the size of the hotel and they need to have staff clearing used towels left behind so other guests know the chairs are empty. Although the guests should clean up after themselves but that doesn’t always happen.
$20 a night for valet parking is high although they don’t up charge for coming and going.
Enjoyed listening to the band and watching people light fireworks our last night there.
