Everyone on the staff that we interacted with was all so nice and helpful. I loved that I got a text asking how my stay was throughout the visit and to shoot them a text if I needed food recommendations nearby. We loved our room too! We'd been on a road trip for over a week, and this hotel was our last stop before we made the official trek back home. The fact that it was SO quiet and chill was an absolute gift. The bed was extremely comfy as well! The onsite bar is as good as the other reviews say too. The selection is top-notch. I got their Library Card cocktail, and it was wonderful! I will say that personally, we found their dinner menu to be a little expensive and lacking in variety and ended up opting to get Clustertruck delivered. Otherwise, everything was simply perfect. Should we need to stay in Kansas City again, this will be one of our first choices!

It was an amazing stay, but the coffee pot didn’t work nor did the room phone to call down to the front desk. When called, front desk said I could pay for a cup of coffee through room service. Should have been accommodated without a fee.

Great Place to stay

We enjoyed our stay so much! Staff was super friendly, and very helpful. Only stayed one night, but would definitely stay there again if in the area. Rooms comfortable, and the bathrooms were large and spacious. Restaurant was very good and the staff was very attentive.

Great location, walkable to so many restaurants and attractions. Staff were friendly. Great, historic restaurant and bar with fantastic cocktails. The lobby was very plain, but I understand it just changed hands.

At one point this was a nice hotel. Not anymore with the transition to recently being acquired by Hilton. It was drab and dreary and the lobby area was non existent. Hilton will need to do a bit of work to make this place feel welcoming. Also, it's away from most of the downtown restaurant areas and feels unsafe outside. Keep your head on a swivel as soon as you walk out of the hotel. As for VIP access, normally the hotel tells you what your perks are. The attendant did not know much so we never received our perks.
