Compared to other hotels in similar price ranges in key largo I wasn’t really impressed. The mosquitoes and no seeums were insane. The fact you can’t fish on the property sucked, the room I had in the second floor I didn’t care for. The pool is very small and was always packed. The fact there’s only 6 lounge chairs in a large hotel was not cool. When I asked a staff member about beach cruisers and how I can rent one she said “I think there in the shed, just grab one”. I usually stay at the drift in key largo which I would highly recommend over this place. Staff is super friendly, you don’t use a key for the room instead a code. Go there instead of here, trust me.

Second Stay - Great Dive Experience, But Room Comfort Needs Attention This was my second stay at this small, charming hotel located on the Gulf side of Key Largo, FL. It's a great spot, especially if you’re into diving, but there are a couple of things to keep in mind. Rooms & Comfort: The rooms were renovated after COVID and now feature new kitchen appliances, upgraded mattresses, and lovely sea-themed digital art. While the main beds are comfortable, the sofa beds could use some attention. They haven't been replaced, so the thin mattresses make it almost impossible to sleep due to the metal parts sticking into your back. If you need to use the sofa bed, be prepared for a less-than-ideal sleep experience. Bugs: If you're planning to enjoy the sunset on the resort’s outdoor chairs, bring some bug spray! The area has lots of tiny no-see-ums (sand flies) that bite, especially around dusk and dawn. These microscopic insects can leave you with itchy welts, which can be annoying during your stay. Diving: The dive experience is fantastic! The hotel has its own dive boat (accommodates up to 34 people), and there’s a compressor station for filling tanks. They’re a 5-star PADI Dive Center with a team of 8 experienced instructors, offering certifications for all levels. The prices for gear rentals and dive trips are very reasonable, which is a big plus. Value: While the diving amenities and service are excellent, the hotel rooms do feel a bit overpriced, especially considering the

We really enjoyed our two nights here making our way down to key west. Great location. Friendly staff. Beautiful sunsets. We enjoyed grabbing takeout for dinner and eating by the water. Room was very spacious and perfect for us. The free laundry facilities was an added bonus I wasn’t expecting! Thanks Amoray!

So first impression wasn't great. Mold is obvious all over the floors and bathroom and coukd smell it. We refused to walk barefoot. The pleasant surprise was watching the sunset in the pool! As well as, complimentary laundry machines. We would've loved to use the paddleboard but it didnt have a beach opening without all the "seaweed" which I know is out of their control. Bed and Pillows were comfortable and AC worked well.

Amoray Dive Resort

We reserved for 6 days and were called several times after booking confirming our reservation and our commitment. About 2 days before checking in we were asked if we could break up our dates and stay at the sister resort Kona Kai for first 2 days and then back to Amoray Dive Resort for next 4 days. It seemed they were going through renovations. We agreed since in was not to far away from each other. Kona Kai was a little dated but not surprising for the key. It was very nice, quiet, very clean, very comfortable and friendly. Loved the Papaya suite. Katherine was amazing. Amoray Dive Resort gave us a premiere suite that supposedly had been renovated but when? Baseboards need repainting again, floors were vinyl but not very clean, absolutely could not walk barefooted feet got filthy. The shower shelf for toiletries was missing and had not been replaced so long brackets were corrosive. Did not like free brand of toiletries in bathroom. There was a pull out sofa and sheet was filthy so we told family member not to come over. We found out that the reason our accommodations were split up was because there has been a murder at this resort and a body was found in one of the rooms stuffed in an air handler. This incident happened April 8th and we checked in May 27th. I would really have to investigate this resort again before booking with them again. They did do the best they could do under the circumstances but I would have much rather stayed at Kona Kai the whole 6 days.

Best hidden gem in key largo

This is just the cutest place. The atmosphere the location the vibe everything is amazing. It’s absolutely beautiful the rooms are big for the little report. They have a pool facing the ocean, diving, super cool boat cars, free kayak and paddle boards and bikes. Has a food truck on site. Little souvenir shop by the front desk with clothes and all kinds of stuff. Corn hole, tree swing, tables under colorful tents. The bed was beyond comfortable! It’s like a marshmallow you melt in absolutely the best place!

Wonderful place !

A group of 4 of stayed at this wonderful hotel just for one night. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The check in was quick and easy. The room was clean and comfortable and the location of the hotel is fantastic! We watched one of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen and walked over to The Caribbean Club for some drinks by the water. We took the complimentary paddle boards out in the morning. Absolutely loved this place and plan to return.
