Nice Place to Stay in Key Largo Under Construction

We enjoyed time in Key Largo at Bakers Cay, a Hilton Curio Collection property. I am sure this ranks highly among places to stay in Key Largo. The property is under construction in several room areas. We stayed in the Hammock Room. Our room on the 4th floor was nice. Sheets were not changed daily but made and housekeeping arrived. One restaurant in property had a limited menu. Restaurant atmosphere was beautiful but a larger restaurant was closed on the property. I would have preferred that the hotel noted it was under construction (even on Saturday) - we stayed 4 nights, all days heard construction hammers and drills.

Beautiful location, clean room. Beautiful beach. Only downside was no music anywhere in resort, even in restaurant/bar area.

It’s a beautiful property and staff is nice BUT (I hate buts). Due to renovations only one restaurant was available for breakfast and dinner and it was INCREDIBLY slow, 1 hour for breakfast that’s considering we were seated right away. And twice out of our 4 night stay the room had not been cleaned by 5 pm. It is luxurious and great amenities, the beaches are gorgeous, no complains with pools or activities but due to our issues I can’t give them 5 stars.

Have never stayed in a resort. We decided it wasnt what we wanted. Prices higher than we thought they would be. Restaurant selecrion not good and either was the menu options.

Baker's Cay was a lovely resort hotel with a good beach, free watersports equipment including SUPs and kayaks, and a good range of dining options. The communal areas were clean and well maintained. The room was good and the sofa bed for the children was of great quality. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming.
