One of the best places our family has ever stayed! We have been traveling for 18 years and The Pelican Cottages is our new favorite! The staff was amazing the cottages are super cute and incredibly clean!! All the amenities are perfect! Plus it has the most beautiful sunset views I have ever seen!! I can’t recommend these cottages enough!

This is where life long Florida people should stay to fully enjoy a real trip to the keys. Beautiful bungalows, immaculate bathrooms and linens, attentive staff, well kept. We spent the 2 nights before at the giant expensive Faro Blanco in marathon and the room was dirty, there was zero air conditioning in the corridors. We won’t be staying anywhere else but the Pelican for all of our keys cations!!
The beach is right outside the bungalows! Full of sea life. Clean water.
Shaded tikis have fans and lights, there’s charcoal grills and a rinsing shower.
Best sunset we got during our whole trip was right here at the pelican.

Our Stay

The desk staff were all very nice and accommodating. We arrived a couple giurs early and told to come back at noon. So we checked the area until about 12:30. We went back to the hotel and the room still wasn't ready. Left again for aboit another hour. When we arriced again somewhere between 2-3PM we we avble.to check in. Only a couple small issues during our stay. 1. The toilet tank wouldn't fill after flushing. We had to manipulate the the valve, etc to make it work. 2. The water pressure in the shower was non existent. Oth3that than that it's a nice quaint place to stay.

Enjoyable

The location was great and the cottage was really clean (except for the sugar ants in the kitchen) & cute. The furniture was very dated and the pink sofa was quite stained. However, the beds were soft and comfortable. Large dining table and even an outdoor patio. You can walk to the restaurant nextdoor. Best part was free kayaks

This was supposed to be just a stop on our way to Key West, but we really enjoyed it. Adorable little room and right on the water. We could go sit on the docks in the evening it was beautiful. Added bonus was a cute tiki bar right next door!
