Awesome setting right on a nice private beach. Staff were friendly and room was dated, but very clean. Several places to walk to… But definitely is a place to stay in the nice weather. If it’s rainy, room is pretty small to hang out in. We would definitely stay there again

The place was very nice. The ladies in the office were all so nice & very helpful. The facility had everything you could need, laundry, kayaks, lots of seats by the water, anything we needed they had including a place to hang some hammocks. The grounds were very well maintained. The beach combed every morning. The only issue i had was the housekeeping. Couldn't get them to come take care of the room. I had to hunt them down to get anything. If they did stop by, they only have us more sample bottles & emptied the trash. I even had to ask for toilet paper & towels. We only got 1 bar of soap for the entire week.

It was clean. Very tiny bathroom. And the parking seemed off. People who have company can park by your cottage leaving no room to park. Probably won’t stay there again as we are older seems unfair for visitors having priority for parking.

Excessive signage about how they will charge you extra if you do this or do that made it hard to enjoy the room. The floor was pretty dirty as was the couch. Beautiful area, could really benefit from some care and upkeep.

The staff were amazing. Very helpful and accessible. We were I. A unit out by the road the first night and the noise was very bad. We asked to be moved and hit a unit nearer the water. It was perfect.

Everyone there was so friendly and the beds were very comfortable. We loved the spacious room and large shower and of course the beach area and sunset was pretty special. We would definitely recommend staying at Pelican key.

The property was a little bit hard to find, but the check-in experience was great, very friendly staff. The property is a set of quaint old cottages, a throwback to the 50s; Hemmingway and Bogart could’ve stayed here. The rooms were very clean, and updated for a budget motel. The boat ramp and Gulf view were absolutely beautiful. I’m sad I did not get to use the free kayaks.

The staff was very kind and helpful. However, the AC unit was extremely temperamental and turned off randomly during the night, waking us up several times from the heat. The road noise is pretty loud on the property and the room smelled disgusting. However, the second night we stayed in another room which did not have such a bad smell and was clearly more updated with a stronger shower pressure and taller shower. Overall, without seeing your room ahead of time I do not recommend staying at this property.

The pelican was a nice stay for the price. Reasonable cost but the room is VERY small in the economy room. It def could use a little updating as well but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. Beautiful piers to watch the water and relax.
