Lovely crumbling estate, nicely done room, but some staff had "attitude," especially breakfast staff. For the $$ the hotel could have served a nice buffet inside it's still-elegant dining area, but food selection was no better than at a place a third of the cost, and heavy door and step down to dining porch without any trays available made it difficult.

Excellent staff and historic and beautiful property. Small breakfast was very nice as we are not full breakfast type people. Only downside is the second level of the margarita/mojito bar next door faced directly towards our room on the 2nd floor so we just closed the curtains on that side. Very convenient location to beach, bars, restaurants, and shopping. Would definitely stay again when we come back to Key West.

Seemed to be a lot of hidden fees. Birds in and around pool was sick. Had to carry bags up 3 flights of stairs I know I’m not in the best shape but wow that was all I wanted to carry our big bag up. Brick parking lot was really rough almost twisted an ankle. But the building was neat looking and the history was cool.
