It was an average Motel, nothing special about it. I think the price I paid was too expensive for an average motel . Since my booking was last minute on a busy Saturday I paid too much to just get a room in the area which was close driving distance to a beach.

The property was poorly maintained, and your website photos are an inaccurate description of the room. I booked a 2 bedroom suite, and the listing showed 2 bathrooms which was not the case. There was a “bathroom” with a shower and toilet and no sink. The only sink was in the kitchenette area. There was extensive water damage, uneven floors, and baseboard heaters detached from the wall. Terrible stay with an outrageous price. I have photos and videos.

Cabin was functional, beds were comfortable, kitchen was functional. The building was not particularly well maintained, and not well stocked. There were no pans for the oven, no olive oil or salt and pepper, extremely limited dishes (literally 4 of everything only), and no platters, bowls, peelers, and only one sharp knife. The front desk provided a cookie sheet when asked. There was no outdoor picnic table associated with our cabin, and most critically for us, the Internet was unreliable, completely not working for 36 hours, in an area where cell service was also almost non-existent (and insufficient to hotspot). It was a good location, close to Wells and Ogunquit and 1 mile from Moody Beach. Close to amazing ice cream and solid donuts.

Perfectly serviceable hotel for the one night we were there. Nothing luxurious, but the room was clean. I don’t think I’d want to stay there for a week’s vacation, but we were spending a couple days in wells with family at their house, and it was a convenient and affordable place to stay.

We had an issue with our reservation at another property. I found rooms available at the Anchor and went without knowing what we would find. We were very happy with our stay and would stay again and the save money from more expensive options we typically book. Our rooms were clean, the pool was quiet and refreshing. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The only improvement they could make is the WiFi connection.

People not knowing what a parking space is. Smoking weed outside their cabin and stinking ours out. The cabin was tiny but clean. Ac worked well. Unfortunately the toilet had a habit of running all night. All in all satisfactory.
