The room was filthy. I have photos. Dead bugs, dust bunnies. Holes in the shower. Forget about amenities-there are none. We were told AFTER THE FACT that the water in the rooms is NOT SAFE to drink! Seriously?? What kind of hotel is this..I am requesting a FULL REFUND, please. I hope my husband and I do not get sick

I’m pace was fine but the noise from the main road is brutal.
No air conditioning, so room was very warm. Made for a tough night’s sleep. Our door knob didn’t function properly, and it took a lot to get it to unlock.
It is an old, "cowboy period" hotel. The rooms reflect what it may have been like at the turn of the 20th Century while also affording a few modern amenities like TV and internet. Yes, there is no air-conditioning and yes, if the room has a bathroom, it is small but the character of the place is so unique and the bed comfortable. Leave a window open and turn on the ceiling fan, all is good!

I think the property was great for the price. It was really old looking and dressed up really nice. The only thing that could be better was the shower floor. Glad we stayed had a great rest.
Very small room, no table lamp on one side of bed, tiny bathroom with hair in tub!! Obviously not cleaned!. Quality of towels not good. Carpet torn in entrance to hotel.
Staying here was great! Lots of old charm in the hotel with spacious and comfy rooms. Lobby downstairs was a really nice place to hangout in the mornings as well.
The property is clean and convenient. It is quaint and well done.
There was no cream available for the coffee service and we did not see any employees.
Loved this place. 1906 western hotel with creaky hardwood floors and a welcoming lobby that harkens back to that time period. Rooms are all themed with my stay in the John Denver room with a log wood interior and assorted Denver records. Room was actually nice sized with a comfortable bed, tv, fridge and microwave. Bathrooms are small so take note, and the floors creak so you will hear it in the morning. Will definitely return to try a different themed room!
Hotel with a lot of character. Reserved it for the boutique feel (rather than the other cookie-cutter hotel in town). Certainly felt like roughing it in the wild west. Radiator heating in the rooms, tiny bathroom, tiny shower, creaky floors. You're definitely staying here for the charm of the rooms and not the comfort. I did appreciate the decorations in the room, the books in there, and I wish I spent more time in the common area. Also, the only place I've stayed that offered electrolyte packets along with the coffee and tea in the common area, which was appreciated.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
This is an old property with it's age showing. That said, it was clean and the staff was helpful and pleasant. If you know what you are buying with a stay here, it's worth it. I would stay here again.
I needed a last-minute economical room to stay in before my son's MTB race in Steamboat. The John Denver theme room looked "interesting" and was the only one available. Last minute my younger daughter decided to come also. I brought a foam mattress and sleeping bag for her.
Kids were sort of skeptical when we parked (they need a better parking lot light, btw). We all thought it was sort of cool, with the log cabin style headboard and wall treatment. Bathroom had a strange layout with only a small space between the toilet and corner of the shower, to access the sink. Anyhoo, it worked for one night although we were a bit sleep deprived in the morning because there wasn't really any room for the bedroll on the floor because sonny insists on bringing in his beloved and expensive bike inside due to fear of theft, even when locked up. We all slept in the comfy king bed but daughter moves a lot when sleeping so it wasn't the best sleeping situation.
Anyways, all in all, an OK place to stay for a night
The best part about staying at this hotel is the fact it’s an old property. The hotel is charming and rustic. I could imagine Doc Holliday and Kate staying there; don’t know if they ever did, but the rooms and set up make one think that.
