We loved this place and would stay here again when we travel back to Kyoto. The place was super clean and quiet. It felt so safe and train stations were in walking distance. We even found an awesome Korean restaurant right around the corner from the place. Also the Lawson store was just a minute away from here and open 24 hours. The staffing were also extra helpful and super sweet.

This was by far our favourite accommodation in Japan. The manager was amazing and the accommodation was spacious, traditional but will all of the modern facilities. We loved it and wished we had spent more time here. In fact, once we moved to Osaka, we travelled back twice to spend time in this area and a little town called Sanjo.

The Family Inn Kei was close walking distance to a few excellent temples and shrines. For public transportation, bus service is minutes away, Tokufuji Stn (next to Family Mart convenience store) JR and Main subway system is a short walk (under 10 minutes) and Kyoto Station less than a 15 minute walk away. Lawson's convenience store is just a minute or two walk! Not too central for many restaurants, but we used the microwave for most dinners.

Our trip got postponed due to a typhoon. However, the communication from the staff was excellent. They reassured us and processed refund even before I asked for it. Super helpful! The property was comfortable and had everything we needed. Location was good.

Great find!

This is a great place at a reasonable price. It was nice to have three beds and was plenty of space for three adults. The washing machine was very useful and the balcony was the perfect place to hang our clothes. The staff are amazing!

Neat but small.

The property is nearly new. It is only 5 minutes walk to the bus stop and 15 minutes from Kyoto station. Everything was clean and perfect except room spaces. We are a family of 4 adults and it was really small for us. There is a small kitchen but no place to sit, no table. It is good for sleeping only.
