We enjoyed our time in Hotel Monterey! We got a king bed, it was sooo comfortable! We slept the best here so far of our entire stay. Easy walking distance to nearly anything you need - station, family mart etc! Would stay here again for sure

Hotel feels luxurious. The worst part is the smoking room. So small and not enough ventilation. Didn’t had the chance to try the spa/onsen. Close to good places and transportation.

Has everything you need in a convenient area. While the room layout may be a bit tricky if you have bigger luggage, it was comfortable for our 3 night stay.

This hotel is located just a few subway stops from Kyoto - a great choice if you want to be near nishiki market and the pokemon center. Also really convenient for getting to famous attractions like kinkakuji and kiyomizu-dera with direct buses within walking distance! Property wise, service is wonderful and the facilities are excellent.

Decent stay

The marketing photo of the chapel is not the lobby, and I believe it’s only assessable for private event. Anyhow, the hotel comes with public hot bath, with one outdoor and sauna. Good for a long day walk. Room is kinda small for my use as I don’t have ample space to open up my luggage’s. Location is quite decent, easy assess to the locations I wanted to go

Staff wonderful and helpful. Although the common areas of property are nice the rooms were, sadly, pretty average. Beds very, very firm and uncomfortable after long days, very low ventilation so rooms hot and stuffy. Felt as though rooms not cleaned too well. Probably will stay elsewhere next visit.
