Tru by Hilton - Different

The hotel was quite modern in it's appearance but I found this a little overbearing. It had a feel of an Ikea store instead of a traditional hotel.

This was a clean convenient place to stay. I was here for a tournament about a half hour away. It is located near several restaurants and shopping center. The only problem was the bathroom door didn’t close all the way due to expansion I guess. Other than that it was pretty nice.

VERY DIRTY NEEDS UPKEEP

VERY DIRTY HOTEL. I was surprised at the condition of this hotel since we had stayed there last year with no issues. The lobby and hallways had dirty floors. The elevators had a terrible odor. We were given a room and it hadn’t been cleaned. The floors had dirt and food on them, bathroom smelled bad, and shower had hair in it. I asked for a different room which the staff kindly gave me. It was a bit cleaner, but still not great. The hallway walls were damaged, paint was all scuffed up on doors. Overall it looked like the hotel had been let go and nobody was bothering to maintain it. My kids said the pool had too much chlorine, but at least it was clean!

Did not like the room. We were given handicap room. The window curtain drapes were in poor condition... tried to pull it up in the morning and it wouldn't.. seemed broken ! Other Tru Hilton locations a lot better in property room convenience.

My family had a wonderful time staying in this hotel. Room is nice- decor is pleasing to the eyes, great amenities, refrigerator, no microwave, no cofee maker. However, lobby has 24 hours coffee and hot water available. Staff are accomodating especially when my husband and I asked if we can get cold drinking water to refill our water bottle for the night consumption since we run out of bottled water. We really appreciated that gesture. Location is very convenient to restaurants, and most of all we love that it is just minutes walk to the Lancaster Tanger Mall. My sister & I really got excited that the mall is around the corner. Breakfast choices is also good. Eggs, sausages, pancakes, oatmeal, bread, bagels, cereal, yogurt, varieties of juices, fruits, complete condiments. Love this place! Hope to come back again.

It Started when we arrived the lady at the front desk could not find the keys we were standing around for about 30 minutes when she finally found the keys and handed it over to me when we entered the elevator it had a funny odor. The next day the room was not made for reasons unknown to me the second day I had to ask for fresh towels and to clean the room carpets in the hall were in bad condition and did not expect this from a Hilton chain I have stayed in several Hiltons and this was the worst one never again at this location will I stay at.

One person doing check in, phone reservations, answering questions and getting pool towels! Waited 25 minutes to check in. Room small Ann no place to put folded clothes. I laid $300 for this and it wasn’t worth it! I won’t stay at a Tru again. Way below the Hilton standards.
