Enjoyed the quiet peaceful stay.

Property was nice, there were a couple of maintenance issues. Light burned out in bathroom but we were able to change it out, housekeeping could have been a little better. Dead flies along window in the loft and along the sheet between the bed and the wall, but we took care of getting it cleaned

Great Little Place

Pros: Nice clean cabin out in country, overlooking pond, deer in the yard in the morning. There is a place to have a campfire and grill out and sit on the porch swing or at the picnic table. Quiet & peaceful. Close to Stone Mountain. Cons: Small charcoal grill space. Great for grilling for two, but any more may be difficult to pull off. Even though it sleeps more, might be cramped for more than 2 adults, but it does have three cabins on property so larger groups could spread out some. Verdict: Great place, highly recommend.

4th of July at Laurel Springs Cabin

Enjoyed the stay. The only thing I would have changed when building the cabins I would have spaced them out from each other. It wasn't a big deal the way it was just crossed mind while sitting outside. Still had a great time and would definitely consider renting again.

Nice clean cabin

Great place to get away. The only negative is your right next to other cabins. The pictures of the property makes it look like your secluded and private. It isn't close to a store or gas station. So you better have what you need.

Tranquility

Close to Blue Ridge Pkwy. Enjoyed a beautiful ride on gravel lane through the colorful fall trees. Deer outside front door and warmed by the charming fireplace. House was very clean but bed was uncomfortable. Local winery Thistle Meadows was a great outing in the area as well. About 30 minutes from stores so bring what you need . Would recommend this cabin for future stays.

Beautiful property, however...

The property was beautiful, and the location was as remote as we desired. However the cabin was not as isolated as we had hoped or as we were led to believe by the description. There were 3 houses on the property and they were very close together in proximity, closer than we envisioned from the photographs/description of the cabin. The cabin itself was attractive and clean and exactly what we were looking for. However, we were surprised that the towels that were supplied were little better than the towels that I had at home in my rag basket. While they were clean, they were ragged along the edges, there were strings hanging off of the edges, and one of the towels had a 2" to 3" tear along the bottom. While I didn't expect hotel quality towels I did expect towels that weren't falling apart. The night we arrived, it was raining and we were greeted by a large, wet stray dog with no tags. While the dog was friendly, it was rambunctious and jumped all over us. When I contacted the property management about the dog I was instructed to call the police/animal control. Given that this was our 1st vacation away in 3 years I wasn't really willing to spend any time sitting around waiting for animal control to show up in a remote location nor was I willing to spend time corralling the dog and restraining it long enough for animal control to come and collect it. Whenever we went outside the dog was right there and was there roaming the property and our yard during our entire 3 night stay. One night she even brought a friend. The only control that we had over the dog's whereabouts was the fact that there was a gate at the bottom of the stairs leading up to the cabin. It was frustrating to have to fuss at the dog to leave us alone during the entire time that we were there. Had the above circumstances been different this probably would have been a 5 star stay.

Great cabin for a relaxing low-key getaway

This is a great cabin for a relaxing low-key getaway. The rental and check in was super easy and it’s very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway in a lot of really cool historic towns in the ash county area. This cabin is great modern small cabin charm. It was relatively clean other than the usual dust here in there. The shower didn’t appear to be thoroughly cleaned but nothing terrible. The fireplace was nice despite being a little bit aggravating to get going. It’s like the gas flow was a bit intermittent or something. We were looking for and were thinking this was a cabin by itself but it should be noted that it’s actually right beside another cabin in across from another. Of course it was a bit cold outside so we didn’t spend any time outside anyway so it was never an issue. I just think it should be made clear if a cabin is somewhat isolated or not. There was a few lightbulbs out in the DIRECTV remote control had dead batteries but those are small things that almost no one would keep up with. Other than these small mentioned things it was a perfect little get away from my family with that classic mountain vibe.

Little Cabin by the pond!

The cabin was great, just perfect for us two. It was peaceful and well keep! The only small issue we had was you will need to travel a good ways to get to a town. We had a great time and would stay here again.

Amazing getaway

Although the place was very cozy and nice, there are a few things to note: 1) there was a woman's top hanging behind the bedroom door - the housekeeper probably forgot to clean, 2) the towels smelled clean (bleached) but found a long fine blonde/grey hair when unfolded it to use, 3) there were decent amount of spider webs with spiders on wooden chairs on the deck, 4) there was a filing folder with sightseeing and restaurants information sheets but they need to be updated and it would be nice to show how long the places take from the cabin because it's not guaranteed you will get a phone service there - our friends who use Verizon had reception but T-mobile didn't have service, 5) some of the policies need to be updated or made clear at least. There mentioned there would be cleaning/linen fee and trash bin use fee. We were confused because we already paid $100.00 for cleaning fee when we booked this place online. We didn't use trash bin just in case and took out trash everyday to dump it at public dump site. Lastly, it's a great getaway place but be noted you will need to drive a minimum 30min to get to a small town with some restaurants and grocery stores. Some of the advantages are 1) very easy to check-in; you get clear instructions on how to get there and how to check-in, 2) great scenery, 3) fairly well-maintained place despite some of the cleanliness problems mentioned earlier - they replaced the bench to new one, and 4) good size for 4 people and we loved the loft. If some of the problems can be improved, we would love to stay at the place or another property from 4 Seasons Vacations again.
