Still nice, but has gone downhill. Pool needs heat

We have stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn at least once a winter for 3 or 4 years. Sadly, feels like this property is going downhill like most major chains do. The hotel itself is still nice and new, however the hallways, rooms and pool area are all lacking. The 2nd floor hallways all smelled heavily of smoke. Not sure how this happens when smoking is not allowed in room or on site. The room was fine, however the pillows were the worst I have ever felt in a hotel. Zero support and both my wife, myself and my 12 year old woke up with sore necks. And finally, there is the pool. For a family with kids this is everything with a hotel like the HGI and unfortunately the pool was disappointing. No hot water in the shower to pre-rise and the pool itself was pretty cold. Definitely not a "you will get used to it" temperature. A few of these are easy fixes, hope the property owner considers some new pillows and turning up the temperature on the pool. For what it's worth, we met a woman on a ski lift locally that happened to be staying at the same hotel and she also complained about the pool.

Shower had mold along the bottom pillow was the worst pillow I ever used staff was not friendly front desk was as in an obvious state of angry and told me I needed to wait until she was ready and was upset I asked why she said it’s just busy with an attitude

Friendly Staff. Clean Hotel

Our car broke down so our family needed a last minute place to stay for the night. Our kids were thrilled to stay in a "fancy hotel" for the night. The staff was very friendly and accommodating with our dog, who was along for the journey. Our room was clean and spacious, the hotel was quiet and we had a restful night's sleep. The breakfast buffet in the morning had the usual stuff you'd expect but I was especially pleased that the coffee was actually very good! Overall it was a very good experience.

We chose to stay at the Hilton after other plans fell through. The location is safe and convenient off of 89. The staff were great and very chill which I always appreciate. The pool was warm enough (small) but open from 5AM-11PM which was a major score for New Years Eve with children. If we do a close getaway for a special occasion again, we will stay again!

I give this hotel a solid B. The staff were lovely and attentive. The bar and lounge area were cozy. Everything was very clean. The indoor pool was too cool for wintertime enjoyment. It’s a pretty noisy place. You can hear the people above you easily and the doors slam very loudly. If you are staying here, I highly recommend you request a room on the top floor.
